To be honest, I don't spend a ton of time on instagram anymore. I'm not saying that I ever spent that much time on it, but there's just too much suggested content and sponsored ads for me these days. So this was their "Mystery Flavor" for 2022 (announcement is here), but I don't see a mystery flavor for 2023. Instead I see talk of five limited edition "bonus flavors" for the year. First came Dough'licious, then Hot Honey Crunch, and now they've announced Lemon Meringue Pie. It's tart lemon candies and crunchy pie crust pieces in a lemon marshmallow ice cream. Wow, that sounds fun! If anyone tries any of these, please share your thoughts. Thanks!

Graeter's Chip Wheelie Ice Cream Sandwiches

[By Nick, New for 2015] It's been awhile since I've been excited by an ice cream sandwich. ‎When I got news of Graeter's new Chip Wheelies, I was quite curious. Thankfully the nice folks at Graeter's sent over a couple of free samples of each sandwich to me.

The Wheelies come in three flavors: Vanilla Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chocolate Chip and Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip. The similarities is that they the same sandwich cookies and are all rolled in chocolate jimmies or as normal people call them, sprinkles. (Dubba's Note: they also have limited edition Peppermint Chip Wheelies right now, available online)

I think the reason is that when I was a kid, strawberry was readily available via Neapolitan but black raspberry had to be scooped fresh from a local Friendlys. Ahhhh, good times. Now I enjoyed Graeters Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip ice cream long ago but there was part of me that wanted just the base, no chips. Well, my wish has finally come true!

Graeters Dark Chocolate Mint Crunch Gelato

[Only for 2015] About a month ago, I had a few questions for Graeters so I emailed their old PR company... and their new PR company responded. Basically there are three things going on with Graeters. One, they have a few new ice cream flavors (the usual). Two, their "little less indulgent" lineup is now called "low glycemic" which is fine by mean since the old name was overly complicated, at least now it has a purpose. Three, the gelato lineup has been rearrange a bit. The vanilla with truffles flavor has been retired and been replaced by four flavors that DO NOT have truffles. Now we won't be covering the bananas foster or toasted coconut gelato, but I did receive free samples of black raspberry and....

Graeters Coconut Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

[By Nick] When Graeter's originally sent me free samples of their new products, somehow a couple of older pints slip into the shipment instead of all of the new flavors. One of which was Buckeye Blitz (aka Chocolate Peanut Butter Chips [aka my favorite ice cream]) and the other was this pint of Coconut Chocolate Chip. While I had no problem with seeing the former, the latter I was a bit hesitant about with my whole feelings towards coconut. I have to say I've been liking it more and more as of late so if anyone can make a great coconut flavor, I'm sure Graeter's can pull it off.

Graeters Caramel Truffle Gelato

[New for 2014, now discontinued] Graeters, one of the oldest ice cream companies we have on the blog, has surprisingly jumped in to gelato game. They still make ice cream 2.5 gallons at a time, so despite upgrading to a new facility, I'm still shocked they have time for this, but at the same time, it's not like they're about to put out a terrible product (I'm looking at you Breyers).
