[New for 2023] So, I have a problem. Despite not buying/covering a ton of new products this year, I still have a freezer full of ice cream. Part of it is changing tastes, part of it is missing the days of old, and the final part is that a lot less ice cream is being eaten in our house. It happens. I kind of wish I could purge and start over, but no way I would waste all that ice cream. What I'm trying to say is that I apology for the weird ebb and flow of the blog this year. Maybe 2024 will flow be better. Maybe I'll even get the freezer cleaned out by 2024. Either way, let's unwrap what I picked up the other day.

It's always a little sad when something says "NEW" and "CLEARANCE" at the same time. Such was the case with this Load'd Sundae that I found while running in to Big Y for a quick snack. Don't worry, it wasn't completely alone. 2019's Churro version was also on clearance* (I haven't tried that one either).

[2018 only] Hey, guess which company has a new PR person? Wells! aka our old friends at Blue Bunny are finally are friends again. It was weird to finally get an email from Wells again since the last rep had zero interest in talking to me ever. The original rep I first dealt with was great with samples and answering questions and hopefully we can get back to that again. Ok, you probably don't care about that, what you do care about is what's new and for that we've got free samples of the two new mini swirls and the four new bunny snacks. Of all the new Blue Bunny stuff, nay of all the new stuff in general this year, this one was easily near the top of my to-do list:

Blue Bunny Cookie Dough Co. Load'd Sundae

[New for 2018] The Loaded name has returned... sort of... ok, not really, but technically speaking the name "LOAD'D SUNDAES" does remind me of the old Edy's Loaded lineup (reviewed here and here). Anyway, there are 8 of these new, neat looking Blue Bunny sundaes, often at three bucks a pop. That probably seems a little high, but technically you are getting the equivalent of half a pint (8.5 fluid ounces) of frozen treat. To quantify the new line up: all but the strawberry one has either nuts or peanut oil in the mix.

[New for 2017, Discontinued] So Blue Bunny has unveiled four "new" Bunny Snacks to us this year with each variety coming in a bag of six treats. I say it like that because two of the snacks are just funwiches with their stick removed. This is kind of an unusual tactic to take but maybe they got feed back saying that the stick was in the way. Blue Bunny Funwich Ice Cream Treats

[2017 Update] They took the stick out of both of these as part of their new "Bunny Snacks" line up. The C&C funwich is off their website but the choco chip one is still there.

[2016 Update] They updated the packaging and the construction of these. They hold together quite well now and I've actually grown quite fond of them. I keep a pack of the chocolate chip in the chest freezer for whenever I need a fun quick treat.

[New for 2015] Ever since I've seen the Canadian version of this idea made by Chapman's, I've always wanted to try something similar in the U.S. Years went by and then about a month ago, what do I see, but good ol' Blue Bunny finally cranking out something new for 2015.
