Chipwich Mint Chocolate Chip

[New for 2022] I don't know if I was expecting a new chipwich this year, but I was certainly happy to see one. I've been buying chipwich since they returned in 2018 and I'm always happy to showcase something new from them.

To be honest, while I was happy to see a new chipwich, I did have concerns about how mint ice cream would work with chocolate chip cookies. Think about it, companies pretty much always stick mint with a chocolate cookie or wafer, but chipwich is trying something different here and it works. I should have known that chipwich wouldn't let me down.

There is something nice about how the mint component isn't buried behind a chocolate cookie. Instead it gets to work with the chocolate chips and the non-chocolate cookie component gets to round everything out. In other words, don't be afraid, this works.

I inhaled my first sandwich and look forward to inhaling another one.

On Second Scoop: not yet but I know I'll enjoy it

Verdict?  it works!
Buy Again?  sure!

    cant remember if it was Hannaford or Stop & Shop, but they should pop up everywhere you usually find chipwich.

    You convinced me to grab a box of these tonight!
    Now if you don't mind my backtracking to your Talenti review, I was wondering if I could tap your gelato wisdom (and that of your blogger community!) on something: I've now had 3 of the Pairings (Caramel Pretzel Blondie, Bourbon Fudge Brownie, Salted Choc Churro) and noticed that in all of them, one of the bases was airier and more "liquidy" than the other--meaning, one side melted faster and seemed lighter, less dense. Strange. Any reasons you can think of? Thanks!

    OMG. Mint Chipwiches were my favorite back in the 80s! Had no idea they were back! Used to buy them from a street vendor on my way home.
