Where you attached to the Haagen-Dazs Artisan Collection? Well, those five flavors have been retired and in it's place we have 7 new flavors in the Destination Series. The good news is that they are just now coming on to store shelves. The bad news is that my first run only gave me two choices: Mango or Coffee. No, coffee isn't my thing, but several of you have already mentioned looking for this one in particular, so I'm going to give it a shot with two hopes. One, I'm sure it'll still be a quality product. Two, I'll pawn it off on my wife if it's too bitter or strong.

I don't have official descriptions yet but I think the names are pretty straight forward. I get a kick out of the white labeling on the chocolate sorbetto (a labeling first for talenti, and we havent seen a new sorbetto from them in 3 years). Vanilla Caramel Swirl seems like their caramel cookie crunch without the crunch. Coconut Almond Chocolate seems to be a mix of their coconut chocolate chip and almond flavors. Peanut Butter Pretzel seems to be a variation of their #26 Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel that was a Publix exclusive. It ditches the chocolate swirl for a peanut butter one and now uses pretzel balls instead of pretzel sticks. Key Lime Pie totally seems to be in Talenti's wheelhouse.

Nerd Lunch Episode 216

Hello again! Need another podcast to listen to this week? Well, besides recording Episode 71 of the Nosh Show last week, I also hopped aboard the Nerd Lunch podcast to talk movies. Yes, I am able to talk about something other than ice cream despite the limited evidence to the contrary. Wait, did I even say that right?

The basic scenario is coming up with a list of movies you would be willing to watch over and over again. Strangely enough, pretty much everything we picked was from our earlier years which helps explain why Hollywood is now addicted to remakes (even if they don't understand why it worked in the first place). To think I used to complain about too many sequels and now it's all about the remake [That reminds me, I still need to see SW:TFA, Creed, Kung Fu Panda 3, Ip Man 3...]

Chobani Mixed Berry Ancient Grains Yogurt and the Nosh Show Episode 71

Alrighty, the Nosh Show is back again but I have a question first. Why does my Chobani Mixed Berry Ancient Grains Greek Yogurt taste like mustard? I'm dead serious. I was kind of curious how these things taste but it is awful. It's like eating the top bun off of a fast food burger, so all you taste is a mix of bread, mustard, ketchup and a little pickle. Am I going even more crazy?

Anyway, Episode 71 is live and it was decided that we should do a recap with the best (and sometimes worst) of 2015. I unfortunately lost my show notes so I improvised a bit by recapping the biggest events of the 2015 ice cream season. This includes the (non defunct!) artisan collection from Haagen-Dazs (soon to be replaced by the destination series), Cookie Cores from Ben & Jerry's, and the 8 new flavors from Talenti. My worst of mention goes to the awful Edy's frozen custard which can't leave shelves soon enough.

Oh, there was follow up too with talk including the delightful Cinnamon Bun Oreos.

Wow, yeah, I can't believe I forced myself to the bottom of this terrible yogurt.
