Have you had Sweetkiwi Froyo?

[New for 2024 - listed as sold out on their website]
I am of the age that I totally remember eating smurf yogurt.... ok, technically I am of the age that I remember remembering eating Smurf yogurt hehehehe. Anyway, I was a "fairly" picky eater as a kid, but I loved my Smurf yogurt. If I had to guess, it probably had a lot of sweetness and not a lot of tang. I was also a huge fan of putting grapenuts in my yogurt back then, but that's a story for another day.

Anyway, Shaw's was the only place really stocking new 2025 stuff and in the mix was Sweetkiwi, which is frozen whipped Greek yogurt. If you don't know them, they were on shark tank in April 2023 (season 14, ep19). They released two Smurf flavors in both faux pints and bars. The flavors are Blue Cookie Crunch and....

Sweetkiwi Smurf Berry frozen whipped greek yogurt

Hope this $7 is tasty! At least it has lots of protein!

Oh my that is blue! It looks like blue sand behind the clear seal (though keep in mind that it's been almost a year since this pint was produced).

I take one tiny bite and I am blown away by how tart and tangy this is. I guess I know what that "totally tart" tagline on the lid is referring to now.

[To be perfectly honest, I'm thinking that I missed the tart wording on the pint when I bought this]

Yeah, I'm not eating this. It is not for me in. There's no way I can give a fair opinion on this one.

If you've tried sweetkiwi, please leave a comment so that this post can be more than me complaining that something is too tart.

Where's Junk Food Guy when you need him?

On Second Scoop: Not happening unless someone convinces me otherwise, though maybe I could mix it with something?

PR Note: Here's the press release talking about the two bars (but not the pints): PR Newswire

Verdict?  not for me
Buy Again?  no way

  1. I tried their chocolate hazelnut flavor which was supposed to have a crunch element. Mine didn’t. And it also has no hazelnut flavor. It mostly tasted like you sprinkled cocoa powder into fat free Greek yoghurt. Not great.

  2. Not related to this post but wondering if you had seen or have in the pipeline for a future post, the new Entemman's chocolate chip cookie ice cream?

    1. it's a frozen dairy dessert made by Turkey Hill, so I wasn't rushing to post about it:

I will do a news post in the near future with these, Ben & Jerry's bars, and the kinder and nutella stuff coming from Wells (aka Blue Bunny).
