She says it's kind of bland. I take a bite, and I concur. It seems that this one looks better than it tastes.
Have you ever tried to smash Hostess Donettes into ice cream? That's what this tastes like. The problem is, that isn't a compliment.
This one does provide plenty of texture, but it's not necessarily a good texture. Maybe we had bad luck and got stale donuts bits, but I'm not sure thats the issue. I think that's just how they taste when submerged in softserve.
Now we did finish the blizzards, but thankfully they were smalls otherwise I probably would have been more tempted to stop.
Oh well. As with all DQ reviews, your mileage may vary. Maybe one of you will try it with chocolate soft serve and then report back about whether it helped or not.

I've heard the cinnamon toast crunch dipped cone is way better. That one is on my radar. Speaking of CTC, have they ever added that to a blizzard? Or maybe it would get stale and soggy? Hard to find good inclusions sometimes. They sound novel, but in reality, they don't play out. Krispy Kreme has the same issue. CTC or a cookie on a donut sounds good. But as it absorbs moisture it gets soggy and loses all crunch. Then it tastes stale. Seems like if you get it when it's fresh, it's great. Otherwise, you're out of luck. In the case of DQ many of the inclusions come in a bag that are pre-made I believe. If someone does not close it up, then it could get stale. Anyways, based upon your review, I may just try the dipped cone and call it a day! Thanks for the review....and saving me some money!
