Ben & Jerry's Justice Remix'd Ice Cream

[New for Fall 2019] Ben & Jerry's is back at it with another limited batch flavor aimed at bringing about more social justice. In this case, they are working towards criminal justice reform. I know a lot of us don't care because we've never been on the wrong end of a sentencing, but there are people who care deeply about this stuff. If you don't like it, fine, just move along, don't go surfing the internet trying to pick a fight with everyone who does appreciate a company trying to do good. Sorry, getting off my soapbox and opening a pint of...

Haagen-Dazs Spiced Pecan Turtle Ice Cream

[By Nick, for 2015 only] I'm currently getting myself ready to head down on a little vacation to Georgia with the lady (follow me on twitter and instagram to keep up with our adventures). Right now, I believe I have the last of the new Artisan flavors from Haagen-Dazs to cover. Seeing as Georgia is known for pecans, this review seems like a fitting note to head south on!

Gelato Fiasco Sriracha Peanut Gelato and
Steve's Thai Peanut Butter Pretzel Ice Cream

[By Nick, Both New for 2015] One of my predictions for the year was that we'd see some spicier flavors on the market from the smaller companies. While I was expecting the trendy chocolate and chili combo, I didn't expect to see sriracha and peanuts being the next trend. And not within a week of each other did I receive both Steve's and The Gelato Fiasco's sriracha infused flavors. I'm going to call this the....

Perry's Escapes Fireball Ice Cream and
Perry's Escapes Mexican Chocolate Ice Cream

Welcome to the Friday Night.... Spicy Fight!

[Both New for 2015, but MC disappears for 2016 and fireball loses escapes branding]
Yes, I thought way too much about that headline. As you know, Perry's ice cream (out of Buffalo) sent Nick and I a bunch of samples. Nick is covering some nutty products, but in my batch I got not one but two spicy flavors. Well, I assume they'll both be spicy anyway, how could they not be right? One is called fireball and other has pictures of peppers on it.

Pierre's Holé Molé and Croppy Road Ice Creams

[By Nick, New for end of 2014] When Pierre's offered to send samples of their new collaboration flavors with Crop Bistro, Hole Mole and Croppy Road, I was all over them. I mean, Dubba hates spicy so we all know Hole Mole wouldn't be for him. Croppy Road has a smokey caramel swirl and after my experience with Tea-riffic, I feel obligated to review all smokey flavors from here on out... for science. Let's go with Hole Mole first just because toffee is involved.
