Top Ten Posts of 2020

It's been quite the year hasn't it? With 80% of it spent in quarantine, my ability to find new stuff and post about it has been severely hampered. In peak OSS days, Nick and I could have reviewed over 200 products. This year? ...wow, 80 products reviewed actually. Ok, so not totally terrible (note: a few of those products appear on a single post). A quick tip of the cap to those companies that helped supply any of those reviews, it was definitely a help with my regular routine thrown in to such disarray. Ok, should we jump to it then?

You know what my biggest problem with cookie ice cream sandwiches is? I get cranky when they aren't in my freezer! Wait, I'm not alone in that feeling am I? I have a few regular ice cream sandwiches floating around, and a few other treats, but there's nothing quite like a cookie ice cream sandwich. 

Now, I had a run of bad luck during my last grocery store run and, well, we basically ran out of ice cream (not completely, but there was no "regular" ice cream in the freezer). So, I traded in my usual quiet Sunday morning for Wegman's ice cream run #2. It was more of a restocking run than a "oooo, new stuff!" run, but I did come home with....

It's kind of weird to think that I've only had three new pints from Ben & Jerry's this year (to be fair, I've also picked up pints like fan favorite Cannoli and also Gimme S'more!). The pandemic has been the issue ofcourse. Between being cut off from the majority of stores I regularly visit to the fact that I won't bring any nut-based products home, I just didn't have that many options.

This is the latest limited edition collaboration with Netflix and is hitting store shelves now (early December). The reviews seem fairly positive and I'm sure I would have tried this one on a lunchbreak during the old days. Anyone plan on trying it?

I realized that I never posted this terrible picture that I took of boots on the mooo'n either. This picture is from July but I'm pretty sure I saw a few pints of this sitting on the Stop & Shelf shelf as I was taking the picture of Punch Line. (why didn't I take a new picture of it? whoops). I was very tempted to try this one before I confirmed there were almonds in the toffee. I can't imagine I wouldn't have enjoyed this, especially with the sugar cookie dough core (also seen here).

P.S. I keep looking for the two new snackable cookie doughs but the few stores I visit aren't carrying them. Sniff Sniff. Anyone had any luck finding them?
