Edy's Buncha Crunch Ice Cream

[New for 2016] I know it's not the same thing, but Edy's (Dreyer's) adding a bunch of candy flavored ice creams has me reminiscing about their excellent LoadeD line up from long ago. That stuff visited my freezer on so many occasions. Can the new half dozen candy flavors bring back the magic? I'm skeptical since the new Rolo flavor didn't wow me, but let's see how a chocolate based flavor can stack up.

Places like Canada have been rocking flavors like rolo, smarties, turtles and kit kat forever now, so why are we behind? That does not make sense! Let's see if Edy's can finally fix this oversight!

[New for 2016 - Retired] Please excuse the following review because I am so very very very very tired right now that I'm not even sure how or why my eyeballs are open. Wait, I know why, just not how. To pep myself up, I picked up a $3.99 pint of Talenti this morning. I wasn't really sure which of the new stuff I should try next, but I kind of started spacing out as I was staring at the swirl in this one. Now I've never been a big fan of their woodsy black raspberry flavor, but let's see how this one tastes.

Graeter's Cheese Crown Ice Cream

I mention this because I had no idea that of the limited edition flavors they offer every year, they pick one to become a full time flavor the year after. [New for Early 2016] As you may remember, Blue Bunny was suspiciously quiet last year. I didn't know if they were laying low because people kept confusing them with Blue Bell (yes, this really happens) or if there was something else afoot. I'd love to say I knew what was going on, but the old PR rep left and the new one isn't exactly forthcoming with info (or samples).

Anyway, we finally know what's up, Blue Bunny has gone through a pretty significant rebranding. Gone are the old 1.75 quart containers and replaced with these new smaller, see through containers with gold lids (much like Breyers gelato lineup). They are either filled with 46 or 48 fluid ounces of product. Some flavors are gone, some just have new names, but there are a few new flavors mixed in as well. We'll be covering two of them. Talenti Chocolate Sorbetto #38

[2016-2018] I ran in to Stop & Shop (Giant) and man was I surprised at how they've stepped up their ice cream game. Not only is the new Talenti officially out, but they brought in several more brands like Gelato Fiasco and Blue Bunny. No more rolling my eyes every time I see GF for way too much money at Whole Foods. I saw the assortment of new 2016 products expand further but I wound up going back to the Talenti for my snack break today.
