The Nosh Show makes it to episode #10!

Woohoo, the Nosh Show has broken into double digits!

That's right, episode 10 is now available! Click to listen here as we delve into recently tried products (like the pancakes above), debate some new upcoming products, and then this week's chew on this covers some discontinued products we'd like to bring back. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but I would bring back #1 #2 #3 and #4 here. Take a listen, and as always, let us know what you think!

At the beginning of July, we did a "Nosh or Not" for IHOP's new Jelly Donut Pancakes. I was the most excited of the bunch because I love pancakes, and I do enjoy an occasional jelly donut, so I had high hopes to try this one. Well, the weeks passed and I had trouble getting to the IHOP until the morning of August 6th. I finally left home early enough to stop by my local IHOP.

I walked in to discover that I would be one of four customers in the restaurant, but at least I didn't have to wait for service. I eagerly told my waitress that I didn't need a menu because I knew I wanted the Jelly Donut Pancakes. "Sorry, they're all gone". WHAT???? "They were a three month seasonal special". But they were only out for June & July, plus Sumer is only half over, there's still six weeks to go! "Sorry". Oh my bloody word. I skipped my regular breakfast and almost hurled from hunger on the way to IHOP just for you to not have my pancakes???? AHHHHHH!!!

Ok, my rage was contained on the inside of me, so my still calm exterior went with the cinna-stack pancakes since they kind of reminded me of the discontinued tiramisu pancakes. See, if you think about pancakes for two hours, you need to order pancakes and not something like the tasty looking brioche french toast. I will admit that the cinna-stack pancakes were tasty, if not a smidge dry, so if you get them I would recommend asking for some extra whip cream. Technically you can pour syrup on them, but then you drown out the cinnamon roll vibe.

Do I regret going to IHOP? Maybe a little, but not because of the food. Don't get me wrong, I love fresh pancakes, but after the tip, this meal set me back $14. When did IHOP get so crazy expensive? For two bucks I could have had two jelly donuts and been just as full. For three bucks I could have stayed home and made a five pack of those awesome immaculate baking company cinnamon rolls and fed my whole family. My breakfast was tasty, but $14 tasty? Iunno about that.
