Starbucks Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino

[By Nick, New for 2016] It's crazy to think today marks 4 years that Dubba has let me spout out my thoughts about frozen desserts to you all. It feels like just yesterday I was asked to join On Second Scoop so I'd stop harassing Dubba with emails about my opinions on flavors he's reviewed or was planning on. Or at least that's why I think he let me join.

This past year has been pretty hectic for me but I won't be disappearing just yet. Until I find my way into an ice cream company (which will happen) I'm going to be reviewing as much as possible. Our community has become somewhat a second family to me and it still amazes me how much it grows year to year. You all make On Second Scoop the site it is today. Without you, I'm sure Dubba and I would've called it quits but you all have been here with us through the highs and the lows. I couldn't thank you all enough for what you've done for me as an individual. I went from a socially anxious kid with a passion for ice cream to someone with confidence and a promising future in the sweets world. I owe all of it to you guys, no doubt about it. Okay, before this gets too emotional, let's review Starbucks latest frappuccino which is inspired by the ice cream world.

Starbucks Frappuccino Fan Flavors Review

[New for 2015] ‎With the S'mores Frappuccino review doing so well, I decided that we should keep reviewing Starbucks newer options. In celebration of the frapp's 20 year anniversary, they recently made 6 of their secret menu frapps available for order in all their stores.
They also are giving customers the opportunity to vote on their favorite to make it onto the permanent menu. Since I'm nothing but a perfectionist, I decided to try all 6 (not at the same time and with the help of a pretty girl) for science! Let's do this review by starting with my least favorite and finishing with the frapp that would get my vote to stay on the menu.

Starbucks S’mores Frappuccino Review

[By Nick, New for 2015, back for 2016] Dubba has reviewed more than a few coolattas so I think it's not a huge stretch for me to review a Starbucks Frappuccino. I mean, it was released today and S'mores is in its name. Time to go be a [person who visits Starbucks often]!

Starbucks Caramel Macchiato Ice Cream

[By Nick, discontinued] Would you believe me if I said I’ve never had Starbucks coffee before? Better yet, how about if I said I’ve never set foot in a Starbucks in my entire life? Well, it’s true. Now don’t make me out to be some kind of Starbucks hater because I’m not. I’ve just haven’t had a reason to go and up until a few years ago there wasn’t one even in a reasonable distance of me.

Well, what more ironic way to break my Starbucks-less streak than by trying the now discontinued ice cream flavor modeled after one of their best-selling drinks? Okay, technically Unilever makes made the ice cream but it says Starbucks on it so it’s good enough for me.

Starbucks Ice Cream
Limited Edition Peppermint Mocha

[New for 2010, entire product line discontinued] The fine folks at Starbucks marketing group were kind enough to send me a few coupons to try their new limited edition flavor. I returned this favor by shopping at every store that didn't have the new flavor, and when I finally did find it (at a Walmart), I forgot my coupon. Ok, can't give up. I headed back to the store with coupon in hand (well, pocket). I picked up my pint, headed for the checkout, and then promptly forgot to use my coupon. Therefore, this review is sponsored by, well, me.

For the Fall and Winter we now have Starbucks Coffee Limited Edition Peppermint Mocha ice cream. This holiday inspired carton is full of  " swirled peppermint and mocha ice cream with dark chocolaty chunks ". I'm not a fan of mocha, but it's better (more mild) than coffee flavor, so maybe this will work for me.

Starbucks Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino Ice Cream

[Discontinued before 2013] It was a typical trip to the store when I noticed that the Starbucks coffee section looked a little bigger than usual. At first I noticed the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino flavor but that just didn't excite me enough to pick it up... then I spied the two little pink words "Limited Edition" on a carton of their Strawberry flavored Frappucccino. Well, I can't just let a limited edition flavor pass me by and not try it.

Starbucks Hot Chocolate Ice Cream

[Discontinued in 2013] I have a confession to make before I start this review: I've never had Starbucks coffee, in fact, I've never had coffee in my life. I rely on chocolate as my sole source of caffeine, though I did once eat a coffee bean, does that count?

This dislike of coffee covers all aspects of my food personality, meaning I don't do coffee ice cream either. It just doesn't work for me. I saw the new line up of Starbucks Ice Cream and felt like I should try it, but I couldn't bring myself to do it ....until ...I saw this:
