[New for 2026] While doublechecking that my local scoop shop still had the new Black raspberry flavor, I noticed the brandy new Key Lime Pie flavor! I was a big fan of the 2012 version, so why not grab a scoop of...

Ben & Jerry's Key Lime Pie
Key Lime Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert with Thick Graham Cracker Swirls
There was just one little problem.... I'd had a headache all day and I totally missed the fact that this was a non-dairy flavor. It was literally in the non-dairy section of the menu that I looked at, and it still skipped my mind because I was so happy that it was back.
I took my first bite and thought "wait, why does this taste like sherbet?". I jumped on the Ben & Jerry's website and confirmed my mistake.
(The website also calls this flavor "NEW" which should have been a clue as well, but how often do ice cream companies call old flavors new when they've been gone a long time?)
For an oat milk ice cream, this isn't bad. It really does taste like lime sherbet.... but that is not what I wanted. I wanted the creaminess of an ice cream (or gelato) to balance out the tartness of the key lime flavoring.
The graham didnt appear to be a huge factor either despite the fact that I was looking right at it.
The melty edges were probably the best part.
I technically didnt finish the last couple of bites. I had had enough unfortunately. I hate to waste, but I just wasnt in the mood for this treat right now.
Oh well. That'll teach me to order a little more carefully I guess.... especially when it's $9 for a large.
Side note: the original plan was that my wife was going to get the new black raspberry fudge chunk flavor and I would get the key lime flavor, but then the nice server thankfully warned us that the "crackling fudge chunks" were actually chocolate covered pop rocks. We decided not to risk it and my wife went with Cherry Garcia instead. If you've had either flavor, let me in know in the comments.
Verdict? too much like sherbet, not enough like key lime pie
Buy Again? nope
