I first mentioned Flannel Cow Creamery back in July 2024 after a glowing recommendation from my coworker. Since then, it has become our favorite place to get ice cream (despite being a solid 45+ minutes from home).
Well, it was National Ice Cream Day yesterday, so we headed out to the momentarily unbusy Flannel Cow and tried...

Flannel Cow Triple Threat Ice Cream
chocolate ice cream with brownie bits and chocolate chips
OH MY GOSH was this ice cream so very, intensely chocolatey yet not too dark or unbalanced or dry or anything like that. It just worked perfectly. With every bite I was thinking "How can it be this intense without being overpowering?"
Granted I did get only one scoop with the thought that it might work well with a scoop of their caramel brownie flavor, but I've been thinking about Triple Threat every since that first bite. I told my coworker about it this morning and we were both drooling over the thought of turning this one in to a frappe (aka milkshake).
Ooooo, wait, what if I mixed triple threat with "hornet's nest" which is based on their mint ice cream. Oh man, that could be evil-y good... and now I'm drooling again.

My wife went with our favorite flavor: Purple Zebra. It's a delicious black raspberry ice cream with white chocolate chips and "Oreos". I say it that way because it's way better than Oreos. I also brought a pint of purple zebra home, so we might be enjoying that tomorrow. (disclaimer, this picture isn't from yesterday but from another trip)

I also never shared a photo of the cookie sundae I had last year. So much ice cream and cookies. Definitely enough for two people.
