Ben & Jerry's Berry Voluntary
A (discontinued) Target Exclusive

[New for 2010, retired 2013] When I bought Brownie Chew Gooder as a Target exclusive, ofcourse I bought it's new friend too.

Ben & Jerry's Berry Voluntary Ice Cream
Raspberry Cheesecake Ice Cream with White Chocolatey Chips & Raspberry Swirls
(Funny, I think that's the first time that I've heard the term "White Chocolatey")

COMMENCE LIVE BLOGGING

just the faintest hint of a cheesecake smell to it

swirls look.... very frozen

uh oh...

fairly strong cheesecake aftertaste

white chocolate chunks are pretty tiny (smaller than 1/4")

raspberry swirl is pretty potent, reminds me of something you might find in a raspberry cheese danish.

that bite was pretty cheesy

at least it's going slower than it did yesterday (we are up to 7g of saturated fat and we seem to be a bit thicker in texture)

yeah, cant stop thinking about a raspberry danish. it's ok, but it's just not doing a whole lot for me.

I am enjoying the white chocolate bits, they provide a nice solid cold crunch and I seem to hit one on most bites.

again I am done and again I am not full, a single serving of ben & jerry's is never enough I guess.

As always, cheesecake lovers will love it, raspberry fans might dig it, and the rest of us will probably buy the small version just to try it... hehehe, just kidding. I'm going to have to suggest going with the pint size to really grab a full appreciation for it (if you like cheesecake that is). It's well made as always, it's just not for me.

  1. I think this is the worst Ben and Jerry's flavor ever made. The raspberry swirls were too strong and I couldn't taste the cheesecake flavor aspect as I did with the Cheesecake Brownie flavor. Instead, this reminded me of a raspberry yogurt. The best part of this ice cream was white chocolate chunks, which were huge and full of awesome sweetness! I wish my Target would swap this exclusive flavor for Peanut Butter World instead. Chocolate and peanut butter is not only one of the best m
marriages but it makes a better ice cream any day of the week than any fruit ice cream mixed with candy.

  5. Couldn't agree more, years after and I still think about it everytime I see a target and almost crave it daily. After much disappointment and sobbing I finally got over it and moved on to a new favorite red velvet and they now have discontinued this kind. Couldn't be more disappointed and let down. It's gonna be awhile before I buy Ben and Jerry's ice cream again
