[New for 2014] Front Porch ice cream, the premium brand of Mooresville ice cream, is back with two new flavors this year. I got to sample all four of their new 2013 flavors last year and I was impressed. It's a quality product that has nice flavor profiles. The only real sticking point I had was that the mix-in level seemed a bit low for an otherwise enjoyable product. So, I asked if they could send samples of the new stuff [If you are in the southeast, and specifically the Carolinas, you should be seeing these pop up on shelves].

Wait, quick refresher: Front Porch is the premium pint lineup from Mooresville Ice Cream out of North Carolina. They added four new flavors this year and sent them all over for review. They've all been tasty with my only minor compliant being that the other three pints where all light on the mix-ins.

[New for 2013] Ok, so we discovered that there are four new pint flavors available from North Carolina based Front Porch Ice Cream (made by Mooresville Ice Cream) not including the special Dale Jarrett flavor. I went with what I wanted from the free shipment on the first try, but let's crack open something I hope my wife will adore.

This is Front Porch Wildly Wildberry Cheesecake. It's cheesecake ice cream with a wildberry swirl and pie crust pieces. You know I'm hoping for lots of pie crust pieces right?

Front Porch County Fair Fried Apple Pie Ice Cream

[New for 2013] Time to try another flavor from our free shipment of new Front Porch ice cream pints. Now Front Porch premium Carolina churned ice cream is new to to the market as of last year, but it's made by the fine folks of Mooresville Ice Cream who have been around since 1924.

This is Front Porch County Fair Fried Apple Pie ice cream. It's "spiced apple ice cream with an apple swirl and pieces of cinnamon sugar shortbread".  I always get excited when cinnamon is involved.

Front Porch My-O-My Peanut Butter Pie Review

[New for 2013] One of the downsides to Nick and me being in the Northeast means that we have very limited access to some of the great stuff coming from our southern friends (like New Orleans Ice Cream company). Sure we share national brands with you guys, but there's a reason there's never any Blue Bell reviews on our site. The good news is, things might be looking up.

I received an email from one of the new kids pints on the block, Front Porch ice cream, created in 2012 by Mooresville Ice Cream of North Carolina (who has been making ice cream since 1924!). Do yourself a favor and take a quick look at all the flavors that can now be found across 14 states. Gets your attention doesn't it? Good, cause we're about to dig into a free sample of one of their new 2013 products.

I can't help myself,. I gotta start with the My O My Peanut Butter Pie. I love peanut butter and chocolate too much not to start here. It's peanut butter ice cream with peanut butter swirl and chocolate pie crust pieces. I love how it says "Carolina Churned Ice Cream" . The companies that embrace their roots always do well.
