As we wrap up summer and prepare for fall (and watch the sad series finale of Burn Notice SNIFF SNIFF), I seem to have once again let something sit too long in the freezer. So much for having a friday night fight, so let's dig into the fresh stuff first and then we'll do a little visual recap of the the NOICC flavor.

Brigham's S'mores Ice Cream Review

So how many days has it been since I've mentioned my love of graham? It's just one of those things that I love, specifically when it's a graham cracker crust. Oh, I'm a sucker for a graham cracker crust.... Great, now I want a slice of chocolate cream pie. Anyway,  must focus.

This is special flavor Brigham's S'mores Ice Cream and I nearly wept (tears of joy) when I read the description: Graham Flavored Ice Cream with Marshmallow Swirl and Chocolate Chips. That's right, graham flavored ice cream. I love a good graham swirl, but I am psyched about graham ice cream. National brand S'mores isn't new, but an actually graham flavored based is something that I've only seen attempted locally once before.

The Worst Texture Ever Brigham's Bordeaux Cherry Chip Frozen Yogurt

I hate to even mention this flavor because I'm so offended, but I need to throw a warning out here. Lucky for you this one's distribution is limited to just the northeast. I guess technically I should throw up a disclaimer that maybe somewhere along the line my pint was abused by warm temperatures but it wasn't me! (shocking, the branding on elan has been updated, and this flavor didn't make the cut!)

Back in 1994, Brigham's relaunched elan frozen yogurts after acquiring local company elan in 1993 and tweaking the product line. This particular entry is Bordeaux Cherry Chip which is cherry low fat frozen yogurt with cherries and chocolate chunks. Now you know a product is going to knock your socks off when they can't even be bothered with listing the various flavors on their website. I'm sorry, but that's unforgivable.

Brigham's Light Caramel Brownie Ice Cream

[discontinued, Brigham's doesn't make any light ice creams currently] I was so ready to jump into the freezer tonight after having a little too much fun at the grocery store last night. I know the freezer looked a little bare the other day, but don't worry, it's full again! I couldn't get brownies out of my head yesterday, and Shaws just happened to have to particularly tasty looking candidates on sales (well, Hola Fruta was on sale, woo hoo!). For whatever reason, 2 of Brigham's light flavors were on sale. I've already forgotten what the other flavor was because the Caramel Brownie had 100% of my attention. I've never tried one of their light flavors, actually, I'm not even sure I knew they had light flavors.

Brigham's Just Jimmies Ice Cream Review

If you live in New England, I'm guessing you've heard of Brigham's ice cream. I've avoided reviewing Brigham's ice cream because I've been trying to stick with national brands, but that line of thinking doesn't really hold up when you consider I also enjoy talking about local places like Uhlman's. So, I gave in today, not so much because the blog was calling to me, it's because the ice cream was.
