Blue Bunny Funwich Ice Cream Treats

[2017 Update] They took the stick out of both of these as part of their new "Bunny Snacks" line up. The C&C funwich is off their website but the choco chip one is still there.

[2016 Update] They updated the packaging and the construction of these. They hold together quite well now and I've actually grown quite fond of them. I keep a pack of the chocolate chip in the chest freezer for whenever I need a fun quick treat.

[New for 2015] Ever since I've seen the Canadian version of this idea made by Chapman's, I've always wanted to try something similar in the U.S. Years went by and then about a month ago, what do I see, but good ol' Blue Bunny finally cranking out something new for 2015.

2015 Note: Dear reader, I must apologize for the following review which I wrote... in the spring of 2014(?), and it was technically something that had been stewing in my brain even longer than that (you'll see what I mean at the end of the review). Hello, my name is Dubba and my son has food allergies. Since he can't eat many of the things I grew up on, sometimes I get a little crazy in the kitchen. Now I don't have any kind of culinary experience (or natural talent) that for many would tell you "hey, don't do that, it's a terrible idea". I've had more than my share of these bad ideas, but every now and then, my foolishness gets lucky.

I'll admit it, I kind of feel like a heel for trying the new** McDonald's shake. I mean, eggnog isn't my thing, it's my wife's thing, but, well, I wanted to post about something today.

Anyway, I had this shake on this wonderful sunny day and it's not bad. It tastes exactly as you would expect a McDonald's eggnog shake to taste. It's not too strong, nothing offensive going on, and their standard lightweight shake texture to boot. It's distinctly eggnog but stays fairly mellow and reasonable. That's really all there is to it. So, are you interested?

**Note: I would have bet you money that the commercial for this said it was new. And while I want to say it didn't seem new, I went with what I thought I heard. Well, It's not even remotely new. Like, they were advertising it way back in 1988! Sorry for not doing more research before posting.

Hello Nosh Show listeners! I've got good news and bad news. The good news is episode 67 is available, the bad news is that I'm not on it. Wait, that's a double dose of good news? That's just cold man! Hehehehe, but seriously....

Even though I'm not there, give a listen and see how close the guys come to predicting my votes on Nosh or Not. I have to give the prize to Ryan for coming closest to how I would have responded. That said, deep down I think that I would only give a true Nosh vote to one item, and it's not the item pictured above. Not that I imagine eating 3 HoHos at a time, but these nutritional facts scared me off from picking these up. I'm just not in the mood for this nutritional nonsense right now.
