Talenti Black Cherry Gelato #8

Now, I don't know what it is about the black cherry flavor, but it's always been fairly elusive for me. It would pop up on a rare occasion, but usually when it just wasn't convenient to grab it. Well, it's finally time to end that losing streak.

Well, it's certainly pretty enough.

I take some bites and it's a fine flavor. There's not too much bite to it, it's just surprisingly pleasant. There's a little something extra to the flavor profile here but I can't figure it out.

Trying my first cherry.... ahhh, very pleasant and non-offensive.

For some strange reason I think I taste banana, but that can't be. There is a smidge of lemon in here, but I don't think that's it.

We've got that familiar smooth talenti texture, we've got a non-icy cherry chunks, and well, that's that.

It's hard to comment when a flavor is this balanced and middle of the road. Nothing is jarring you from the experience. You just keep moseying along.

And without even thinking about it, I'm just eating faster and faster as this one melts. Ok, better put it away.

So, the moral of the story is that it's a fine flavor. If you want a nice cherry flavor without too much bite, you've found it. If you want chocolate chunks, look somewhere else or add your own.

On Second Scoop: Pleasant, mild, well done, no complaints. What else do I say?

Verdict?  pleasant
Buy Again?  sure
