It is one of the greatest combinations in the sweet and salty world and one of my favorite food combinations as well. So it was pretty easy for me to pick up this container of Edy’s Maxx Chocolate Peanut Butter Chunk.

you should have seen the others
Now getting a scoop with all of the three components together and it literally tastes exactly like a Reese's peanut butter cup. I know that Breyer’s makes a Reese’s ice cream which I have tried and this one is hands down the better one. Heck if it wasn't for the chocolate chunks this would have the same exact texture of a reese’s cup as well. Okay maybe the texture would be backwards because the chocolate ice cream provides the grittiness of the peanut butter in a reese’s cup and the peanut butter swirl adds the creaminess element of the chocolate shell. Suffice to say, this stuff is really good. On their own, these three components are just average but once they’re combined they make for the perfect teaming of sweet and salty. I really can’t think of anything else to say besides good job Edy’s, you did the peanut butter and chocolate combination well.
Verdict? IT TASTES LIKE A REESES CUP!
Buy Again? The caps say it all.
Note: January 24th is National Peanut Butter Day.
