Toasted Marshmallow Milanos, Milk Chocolate Wavy Lays with Almond Bits and The Nosh Show Ep92

Good Morning Nosh Show Listeners! Episode 92 is ready for to be your foodie escape for an hour. I also have a few treats that I tried recently and I...   wait, does that say "with Almonds Bits"? Did Lays fire their proof reader? (We all know I don't have one hehehe)

Domino's Salad, Cinnamon Donut Chips Ahoy, Boo-tterscotch M&M's and the Nosh Show Ep 86

Hello Nosh Show Listeners! Episode 86 is now live! Yup, #86, that's not a typo. Don't forget that the Nosh Show is moving to a weekly format so I'll be posting my episodes here, but if you need more food podcast fix, keep an eye on thenoshshow.com for a weekly update. We have a bit of fun teasing Marvo about the expansion, but then it was time to get down to business.

The Curious Creamery Ice Cream Cake Mix

[New for 2016] At the beginning of summer, the Curious Creamery sent over free samples of their two new products. I had a blast trying out their quart sized ice cream mix, but now it's time to step up to the big leagues and try to make a cake.

Hostess Deep Fried Chocolate Twinkies
and the Nosh Show Episode 84

[New for 2016] Hello Nosh Show listeners! Episode 84 is alive and well and patiently waiting to start your week off right. I do love having something fun and frozen from our Nosh or Not list to show you and I think this fits the bill. Now I was tempted to blow ten bucks to get these and the original golden flavor, but I've been blogging on a budget and I'm sticking to it. That means picking the flavor that I was more excited about.

Ehrmann Chocolate Creme Grand Dessert

[New to the U.S. for 2016] Ok, time for something non-frozen tonight, but it's still chilly and it's still dairy. I've been trying to watch the blogging budget but this cup just kept calling to me. "I'm -only- a dollar seventy-nine and I look so fancy, you know you want to try me". What, you don't have voices in your head telling you what to eat as you wander aimlessly through a grocery store?

Choco Chip Oreos and The Nosh Show Episode 82

Hello Nosh Show listeners! Sorry for the late post as the day was a bit more hectic than I expected (plus I cheated and didnt post a review yesterday). The good news is that episode 82 is now available. Now I wish I could talk about those new Reese's stuffed with Pieces that Junk Food Guy covered today, but instead we're going to talk about something that hopefully you've seen although I haven't seen a ton of stores carry them yet. I am talking about Choco Chip Oreos.

So of all the Nosh Show hosts, I wind up being the biggest fan of these new Oreos. No they don't taste exactly like a chocolate chip cookie, but these aren't just any cookie, they are still Oreos, so they still need to taste like Oreos too right? I guess I am in the minority on these. A lot of people seem to put these down while touting the awesomeness of the fruity crisp Oreos, but I never even finished the package of those, they were just way too sweet for me.

Before we go, I must admit that I was tempted to lead this show's announcement with this nonsense. It's a Hostess coffee cake shoved inside two choco chip Oreos. Why? Iunno, why not? It actually worked surprisingly well because although we've got lot of sweetness from the Oreos, it pairs well with the cinnamon as well as the general cake flavor. I didn't have a second, but I enjoyed the first.... and my daughter just walked by and went "What?"

I think it's safe to end on that note. Have a great week everyone. Try not to melt.

The Curious Creamery Ice Cream Mix

[New for 2016] Back in the fall of 2014, a kickstarter campaign was launched to create "a NEW way to make real, premium ice cream in any flavor - at home or anywhere - in a matter of minutes WITHOUT an ice cream machine." I want to say I remember that campaign but I had forgotten about it until The Curious Creamery reached out to me about a month ago and offered up some free samples to help celebrate national ice cream month.

The Nosh Show Episode 76

Hey Nosh Show Listeners! During Episode 76, I said I would try to grab a new DQ Royal Shake to talk about during this post, but, well, I haven't made it back to DQ yet. You see, we had a pretty lackluster run in with the DQ Royal Oreo Blizzard last weekend (despite ordering the Royal Cheesecake Blizzard) but I'm just not willing to badmouth it until I get my hands on the Royal Rocky Road blizzard and do up an official review. I have been trying a few other random things recently, so let's cover that after the break

Oreo Churros & The Nosh Show - Episode 70

Hello Nosh Show Listeners! I have returned for Episode 70.... but so has CT! That's right, Ryan wasn't able to make it so CT from the Nerd Lunch Podcast becomes our first guest to make back to back appearances on our show. It was good to be back and through the magic of Marvo's editing you won't be able to tell that I talked through over half the episode. During followup, I shared with the guys that I found the new freezer aisle version of Oreo Churros.

Pillsbury Mini Pies Review
S'mores, Chocolate Lava, and Apple Cinnamon

[New for 2015] Alrighty, since the ice cream scene is beyond quiet right now, let's snag a Nosh or Not from Episode 69 because, honestly, the second I saw these, I knew they needed to be part of a breakfast sundae. (To keep things simple, we're going to review all of them at once)

Pillsbury Mini Pies
Apple Cinnamon filled with apples and spices (caramel icing)
S'mores filled with chocolate and marshmallow (chocolate icing)
Chocolate Lava filled with chocolate (vanilla icing)

Cookie Butter Cake Recipe

Hello, my name is Dubba and my son has food allergies. Since he can't eat many of the things I grew up on, sometimes I get a little crazy in the kitchen. Now I don't have any kind of culinary experience (or natural talent) that for many would tell you "hey, don't do that, it's a terrible idea". I've had more than my share of these bad ideas, but every now and then, my foolishness gets lucky.

The Nosh Show Episode 65

The Nosh Show Episode 65 is live... though I must warn you that this is the Eric-lite version. Yes, his mighty streak of never missing an episode is broken, but have no fears, he'll be back for episode 66... which reminds me, do you guys think we should do another candy draft? I've got several ideas to keep things interesting, but it's not locked in yet and there's definitely time to get your thoughts in before it happens.

Anyway, so Episode 65 is live and one of the things we talk about is pumpkin spice cookie butter. That's right, the ever growing world of cookie butter crashes in to the world of ever growing PSL. One can only imagine what next year will hold in store as both of these trends go crazy. I also talk about my fondness for those Ruffles All Dressed potato chips. The bold mix of ketchup, vinegar and bbq is something I did not expect to like but was pleasantly surprised at how well they went in to the form factor of a Ruffles potato chip. We also talk about the latest from Ben & Jerry's so thanks to Bob for the heads up before the show.

Alright, it's late, have a good week everyone!

P.S. Have you noticed that as soon as October 1st hit, Christmas (Holiday) products started showing? Both Friendly's and Edy's (Dreyer's) are back with their peppermint offerings already. With those repeats popping up, I'm kind of curious to see how many new seasonal products will get this year, so far I only know of one.

Lays Do Us A Flavor 2015 and The Nosh Show Episode 61

Hello Nosh Show Listeners! Are you ready for a bit of behind the scenes nonsense while we take a quick break from Nosh or Not? After covering the latest Lays flavors, we banter back and forth about what goes on behind all the stuff you read here and at JunkFoodGuy.com, GrubGrade.com, and TheImpulsiveBuy.com. Sound good? Then take a listen!

Rainbow Sherbet Ice Cream Pebbles

Hello Nosh Show Listeners! I am back in all my crazy Dubba glory, did ya miss me? Thanks to Nick for filling in for me while I was down at the shore, but it's time to get back to business. Now I wasn't really sure what I was going to post along with this episode, but as I listened to it on the way in to work, it hit me. I need to talk about my disdain for the new Rainbow Sherbet Fruity Pebbles.

Yes, these new Pebbles taste like Sherbet, but in the worst possible way. I love good sherbet, but this is not good sherbet. You know that generic sherbet wonk that every cheap sherbet has? Yeah, that's what this tastes like. It's strong, it's fake, and I couldn't even get through a bowl of it. I will try them in a breakfast sundae in the near future, I just havent had a chance to yet.

On Episode 60 we also talk about our new shared love Oreo thins. That's right, Oreo thins are excellent and three out of four Nosh Show hosts agree that Golden is the best of the bunch (who is the 1 out of 4? You'll have to listen to find out). We also quickly cover the potent new Key Lime Pie Oreos and then delve in to the 2015 entries in the Lay's Do Us A Flavor contest.

As always, I hope you enjoy the show. Have a good week everyone!

S'mores Oreos and the Nosh Show Episode 56

Good morning Nosh Show listeners! Today we dish up episode 56 and the highlight is Marvo's amazing ability to edit out a large percentage of my childish behavior (and rambling). Ahhh, that man is a editing genius. Now don't worry, much our shenanigans remain and I hope you laugh with us (you'll know what I mean when you get near the end of the episode).

S'mores Oreos

We do cover the new S'mores Oreo and after the show I realized something. Every single opinion I've heard on them is different. I don't think any things they are bad, but one person gets too much graham, another gets too much chocolate, another doesn't get enough of anything. There is always going to be some discrepancy between opinions (this blog proves that everyday), but it's funny to see it here.

To me, they aren't epic, but I am enjoying them. If you want to spice things up, make a double stuff/triple wafer combo (the one on the right in the picture). It's got a nice balance. Sure, technically it wastes a wafer, but just save them and then crush them over a sundae later on.

Alright, have a good week everyone!

Pepperidge Farms Cheeseburger Goldfish and the Nosh Show Episode 55

Hello Nosh Show listeners! It's time to delve in to the minds of four snackers who travel the crazy world of artificial flavors, sweeteners and preservatives among other things. Now what could be more crazy than cheeseburger goldfish? They're nothing I would ever pick up on my own because I still don't get meat flavored snacks, but I'm going to take one for the team here.

On Episode 55 I do share my thoughts on Pepperidge Farm's bizarre creation. Yes, they smell likes burgers and yes they taste like burgers, but why would I want these? And it was really hard to wash the smell off my hands when I was done prepping the photo above.... I guess this doesn't count as thinking "outside the bun". I'm having trouble eating more than a few and the smell has been driving me nuts. I tried to explain it to Eric but it only made him more interested to try them. Open a bag and you'll know what I mean.... but will you dare? and where do we go from here? mix in a few green colored pickle goldfish? hot dog goldfish maybe?

Alright, have a good week everyone!

Star Wars Lightsaber Ice Pop Maker
and Nerd Lunch Episode 162

Hello Nosh Show listeners! Hehehehe, just kidding, there's no new Nosh show this week but I did get to hang out with our podcasting buds CT, Pax, and Jeeg for their annual Nerdstradamus episode. We made 2015 predictions for TV, fast food / junk food, celebrities, and then we mix things up by doing some under/overs on Star Wars VII.

Speaking of Star Wars, I told the guys I would be reviewing the Star Wars Lightsaber Ice Pop Maker as part of my Nerd To-Dos. What? It was a Christmas present!

Bella Waffle Bowl Maker

Awhile back, Nick sent me a present and I finally opened it during this long holiday weekend. Call it what you want: a birthday present, a blogging anniversary present, a "holy cow I get a lot of ice cream writing for this blog" thank you present. Whatever you call it, it's a present, I appreciate it, and it's time to take it for a spin!

Dunkin Donuts Croissant Donuts

Hello Nosh Show listeners! Episode 42 is alive and well and awaiting your listen. We forgo "let's chew on this" in favor of a double sized helping of Nosh or Not. We also recap Marvo's runt-filled Halloween failings and everyone's apparent love of Reeses... or money, we had a bit of trouble agreeing on exactly why Ryan got almost half of your votes.

Since followup was a bit light this week, we took a minute to discuss the new overpriced Croissant Donut from Dunkin Donuts. While it's not a bad product, it's plenty tasty enough, it just reminds me way too much of the larger and cheaper DD coffee roll that I adore (it's a giant glazed cinnamon roll basically). Feel free to try this faux cronut once, but after that, try the coffee roll and you'll see what I mean. You can also check out second opinions at GrubGrade and The Impulsive Buy.

Have a good week everyone!

enJOY-a-bowl Sundae Sunday

Alright, I spied a new waffle bowl a few days a go so I just want to quick share it with you in case you're in the need of some mini waffle bowls. It was kind of funny because I walked by them and thought "oh, hey, Joy has themselves a new marketing campaign" but then upon looking closer I realized it was a new product. Well, I can't guarantee these are brand new, but they seem new enough. The only reference I could find for them was the fact that the Joy Cone Company pushed out a bunch of snack ideas on pinterest at the very end of 2013.
