DQ Caramel Apple Cheesecake Blizzard

[New for August 2026] Geez, DQ is busting out five new blizzard flavors in the span of 3 months? That's pretty cool right, especially considering that the last 3 three new blizzards I tried were all pretty meh. Anyway, I've got four options to try, but I thinking I'm going to go with the brandy new August blizzard of the month...

Dairy Queen Caramel Apple Cheesecake Blizzard

I take my first bite and I think I'm going to enjoy this one.

The apple bits are small and squishy, but not annoyingly so (well, some might be annoyed, but it's trying hard to not be annoying).

The caramel mixing with the base is pretty enjoyable. I was a fan of the 2014's apple pie blizzard and I want to argue that the caramel is a step up from that as it really helps round things out.

And then there are the cheesecake pieces... I was trying to figure out if my tastebuds were a little off or if somehow the cheesecake bits were interacting with the caramel apple component in a weird way. I'm enjoying the overall flavor of this blizzard, but now and then, I was getting hit with a little bit of flavor funkiness which I wasn't loving.

Looking back at this the next morning, I think I might try this one again, but with a different mix-ins... probably the graham from the s'mores blizzard.

Belated June Notes: the Biscoff cookie blizzard, strawberry mango-flavored mochi blizzard, and Mexican-style hot chocolate made with Abuelita blizzard are all still on the menu. I do love Biscoff, so we may or may not head back for that one if the mood strikes.

Future Fall Notes: The new tasty sounding brown sugar cookie dough blizzard arrives on 8/31 along with the ever tasty Pumpkin Pie blizzard.

Verdict?  overall flavor is good
