That is not how it looks on the box.
Ugg, the C&C coating already broke just as I was about to say "mmm, cookies and cream".
Ooo, there is a lot of lingering sweetness. It's a bit much which makes it almost tastes artificial.
I get more ice cream with the second bite and that helps
There is not a lot to this bar. Let's call it a six bite bar, and we aren't talking big bites.
The flavor isn't bad, and I want another, but I'm still trying to get used to the texture. I dont even know what to compare it to. I want to say frozen milk but that gives the wrong impression. How about.... it's more like a frozen juice bar than a typical ice cream bar. Does that make sense?
On Second Scoop: I had another bar and I'm now more confident that I enjoy the underlying bar more than I do the coating. It's still a bit too much of a sweet shocker on those first few bites. I'm not sure why they rolled like that, but maybe they'll tweak it at some point >>> Ok, I had bars 3&4 while mowing and these are definitely growing on me. Again, the base ice cream is a bit stiff and watery/icy, but there's still a simplicity to the pop that compensates for it. It's the beauty of not having too many ingredients.
Note: there is also a strawberry version which I'm going to need to try now.
Verdict? they grow on you
