Milk Bar Cereal Milk Ice Cream

[New for Mid 2021] Time for a quick review of the "original" milk bar flavor....

Milk Bar Cereal Milk Ice Cream
Cereal Milk ice cream with cornflake crunch
(sorry, I forgot a picture with the lid on)

Not the most interesting opening shot....

See that clump there? Yeah, it's not the only clump I'll hit!

Thought one: I don't love cereal milk if I'm honest. It's fun and sweet and all, but I feel like it's a little too potent. It winds up giving me cheesecake vibes.

Thought two: I like the cornflake crunch, but it should be called cornflake clumps, at least in my pint. This pint would have been way more fun if the cornflake component would have been spread out more. I know it was my favorite part in another milk bar pint, but it needs to be easier to eat.

So yeah, quick and simple review on this older Milk Bar flavor. I wouldn't stop you from trying it, but I would just verify that you are in the target audience.

On Second Scoop: already said what I needed to say. Birthday Cake is the last of the four original pint flavors that I need to try now.

Verdict?  fun but meh
Buy Again?  maybe

  1. Just goes to show that different folks have different palates.
This cereal milk flavor is one of my TOP 5 favorite ice cream flavors, maybe of all time. Can’t get enough of it. It’s like a frozen bowl of frosted flakes… Tastes like school getting canceled on a snow day.

    1. I live in NYC and I’ve had their original birthday cake. It’s super moist, cause the cake has a sweet milk soak it’s doused in. Texture is similar to a Costco birthday cake with sugar cookie dough crumbles on top

    2. I made a replica milk bar cake and it was so delicious!! The crumbs aren’t crazy hard, I thought they had the perfect crunch

  6. I felt about the same as you on this one Dubba. Fun scoop but not really revisit worthy. That said I appreciate any company bringing variety to retail shelves that isn’t a some low call option taking up shelf space.

  7. I've been eating Milk Ice Cream for over a year now. They simply taste great!

The only thing that's been seriously bothering me lately is the "WHITE CREAMY CHUNK of SUGAR" which I always have to fish it out. It makes already sugary ice cream super sugary, the texture is unpleasantly slimy, and I hate the feel of consuming additional chunk of sugar.

In my opinion, it does absolutely nothing to heighten the ice cream, but makes the ice cream into a cheaper quality. Sadly, I'm about to switch to another brand. Please get rid of that "WHITE CREAMY CHUNK of SUGAR" so that I can enjoy the ice cream again.

    Thank you.

    1. Guessing that refers to the frosting swirl in the birthday cake pints. It benefits from tempering. Very tasty.

  9. if people aren't talking about the flavor in the review, then they at least should mention which specific flavor they are talking about.
