Magnum Cookie Duet Ice Cream Bars

[New for 2022] So there are three new duet bars from Magnum. Almond Duet, Chocolate Duet, and the one we are going to look at right now.... and I'm already tired of saying Duet! Ha, sorry. So we have the original single dipped bars, then we had double dipped bars, but rather than go triple dipped, we got one and a half dipped bars. Geez, there I go being snarky again. 

Magnum Cookie Duet Ice Cream Bars

vanilla ice cream with a chocolate ganache swirl,

fully dipped in white chocolate with dark chocolate cookie pieces

and half dipped in milk chocolate

usually wrapping

Wait, did these get smaller? Oh crud, they did!

oh geez, seriously, these are now less than 3oz a piece?! 2.87 to be precise. A step down from 3/3.04 and fairly far off from the original 3.13oz bars when they first came out. Oh shrinkflation, how you torment us!

I take a bite and I don't think that I actually like this one... it's not terrible, but I'm not digging the flavoring that is coming off of this bar. Originally I had been excited because I thought a cookies & cream magnum bar would be fun, but I'm not too excited anymore.

I start trying to remember if they ever made a cookies & cream bar before, but if they did, I never reviewed it... you know what, I'm probably thinking of the international C&C version. Anyway...

I like those Hershey's C&C bars, but this kind of tastes like a worse version of those. Uggg, I keep trying to say it's not that bad but it's not working. Maybe I'm just not in the mood for this?

Hey, I don't have to like everything, that's why we have variety, so I can just go back to something else and come back in a few days. Maybe it will taste better then.

On Second Scoop: Wow, yeah, I'm sticking by my opinion. I do not like these. I feel like each component counteracts the other components. The C&C shell is weird, the inner ice cream is kind of blah, and then the outer chocolate doesn't jive with the everything else. I'm thinking the last bar is going to be sitting in the chest freezer for awhile.

Verdict?  pointless
Buy Again?  nope
