Talenti Strawberry Margarita Sorbetto Pairings

[New for 2022] There are four new Talenti pairings this year.... and I managed to pick the one that I hated from the very first (tiny) bite.

Talenti Strawberry Margarita Sorbetto Pairings #80
strawberry sorbetto and lime sorbetto with agave

It looks fun enough right? I like seeing the strawberry bits.

I take a small bite of the lime... and I hate it. I take a small bite of the strawberry and hate that too. I take a bite with both.... and I give up and spit it out.

I had been wondering why makes this Margarita and not just some fun strawberry/lime twist. Then I read the ingredients (about five minutes before I tried this). It includes "distilled agave spirit". I don't know what agave is, but I know what spirit is....

What is Agave? Well, I knew it was some kind of plant, but that's it.... ok, according to wikipedia, agave is the plant they use to make tequila.....   wait, you all knew that except me? Well, I told you I don't drink. I meant it!

If you want a technical description of my current non-amusement: I don't like the way the sorbetto transfers that tiny bit of alcohol ness to my tastebuds.

So, ummmm, someone chime in the comments with a real review of this one. Sorry.

On Second Scoop: you can't make me have any more of it

Verdict?  should have read the description more carefully

  1. have you tried the frozen farmer strawberry sorbet? I'm interested how that compares to other brands sorbet offerings.

  2. Funny you mention that. I have not tried those yet and when I was at Stop & Shop recently, the remaining FF pints were all half off. They didn't say discontinued, but that's usually a bad sign.

  3. i asked them and they said there is no change in their production/distribution. I actually see half off sales on various ice cream pints at S&S all the time.

  4. Dang, I was thinking it was agave syrup (like a liquid sweetener) this whole time, not a spirit extract.

  5. Thank you! I don’t drink at all either and was wondering about this flavor. If you could taste that little bit of alcohol, then I’m sure I would too. Yuck! Thanks for saving me from a mistake.

    1. There is no alcohol in this! It is sweetened with agave.

  6. You can yell! with! your! exclamations! but that doesn't change the fact that this has "distilled agave spirit" in it. Maybe next time look at the picture of the ingredients before telling me I am wrong.

    1. 🤣😂🤣😂 Bahahaha. Well, I came for the review on this new flavor but this ↑ comment alone makes me want to come back for more. Lol. A lot of bloggers, influencers, "reviewers" or whatever are so fake always pretending to be sooooo prim and proper... And I HATE it! I like to see someone with a personality... And a little spice. Lol. I think your comment was a nice way to put what we are all thinking... "Ummm... Seriously, douchebag, can you even read???" I hate when people act like they know everything, especially when they're as clueless as they come.... Anyways, thanks for the review. I don't drink either (Very, very rarely) so I definitely don't think I'd like this either.

  7. Where did you purchase this from?

  8. I want to say Hannaford (Food Lion), but it should be available where you find any half decent selection of Talenti.

  10. I just tasted this flavor and it's so off-putting (the lime flavor) I had 3 others taste it and they all agreed. I had to throw it away. Very synthetic lime flavor.

    1. It tastes like alcohol the first couple bites but after a few and when you get the bottom juice it's much better

  11. the alcohol rate with less than 0.5% by volume on side so it explains the taste
