Turkey Hill Snickerdoodle Frozen Dairy
Dessert
cinnamon with snickerdoodle cookie pieces
Iunno, maybe...
Decent size chunks!
You know what bothers me most about this flavor? No, it's not the fact that
it's a frozen dairy dessert (that bothers me second). It's the fact that I
feel like I've had this ice cream before but I can't remember why.
Ok, I poked around and this one looks a lot like their Baked Apple Dumpling ice cream from 2010. That was also a cinnamon base plus an apple swirl and
apple dumpling pieces, but if you go back to the review, they do look pretty
similar.
Anyway, the point is that it's a cinnamon-y flavor in a frozen dairy dessert
format. If that interests you, go for it. If you are like me, you might need
to throw it in a sundae...
On Second Scoop: So this one has been sitting in the freezer since the first couple of days I had and I just forced myself to finally eat some more of it... and I still don't like it. The first few bites are semi-tolerable, but then I just get annoyed and put it back. The frozen dairy dessert texture mixed with a bit of weirdness from the flavoring just makes me not want to eat this at all. I could try putting it in a milkshake, but I'm not sure if I want to waste the milk.... HAHAHA, sorry, couldn't resist.
History Note: Turkey Hill made a "Snickerdoodle Dandy" ice cream long ago.. I do not remember it, do you?

Buy Again? nah

have you ever gone to the turkey hill experience? if so can you do a post/article detailing it?(preferably with photos!)
ReplyDeleteIf I remember right, they offered a complimentary visit a long time ago, but it would be like an 8 hour drive each way for us to go there.

ReplyDeletethanks, doesn't look too special
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I love the Turkey Hill Experience Taste Lab (the rest of the turkey hill experience is fun for kids but if you don't have kids with you, I would skip it (other than the free samples!). Basically, you get to make an ice cream sundae with about 15 different toppings and 8 sauces. What could be bad?!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you go, I suggest you spend time in Amish country, which is about 30 min away. Really head-spinningly different (and excellent baked goods!).
