Minter, I mean Winter, is upon us!

Who's ready for Minter? Sorry, I mean Winter! I don't crave minty flavors, but it's always fun to see them on store shelves. I mean, even Mochi is festive these days!

My/Mo Cool Peppermint Mochi Ice Cream

I was fairly tempted to pick these up just for a change of pace, but then I reflected on the fact that I've never been big on Mochi texture. As a disclaimer, it has been 4.5 years since my last Mochi review and I've never tried the My/Mo Mochi brand.

Haagen-Dazs Peppermint Bark Ice Cream

I'm always happy to see this one as well! White chocolate ice cream with peppermint bark pieces and peppermint pieces. Who knew chocolate covered peppermint could be this fun? Unfortunately this particular pint I bought was left out to melt at some point. I was trying to see how bad the damage was and when I went to scoop it out, this huge section of heavily melted and refrozen ice cream just flopped in to the sink. What a disappointment as this pint is a ton of fun. If you've never had it, give it a try. (original review here if you are interested)

Alright, I'm off to bring up some more decorations from the basement. I hope everyone is well. In the comments, let us know if you are excited for any particular seasonal treats (and if you don't like mint, that's cool too). Have a good week!

  1. I think that there should be a cranberry bliss bar ice cream. Vanilla ice cream blended with cream cheese, cranberry bliss blondies chunks, and white chocolate swirl.

  2. so are you really repurposing that pint as an ornament? that's such a good idea, make an ice cream themed tree!

  3. @Unknown: ooooo, fancy! (for some reason it made me think of this https://www.onsecondscoop.com/2017/01/stewarts-shops-oatmeal-cranberry-cookie.html)

@RG: Ha! I did briefly consider it! That said, we do have a few ice cream inspired ornaments on are tree.

  4. The only time I'll buy flavors like this are when they are 75% at the end of the season. In a freezer aisle with flavors like peanut butter, birthday cake, and caramel, I'm going to pick those flavors over mint any day.

  5. If I want mint I'm going with TH Mint Choc Chip every time. It's perfect: cool mint ice cream, and the most perfect melty choc slivers. It's in my freezer now

  6. God, I love mint ice cream so much and that peppermint bark is one my faves. Shame about the freezer burn though. I hate when I get a freezer burn pint.
