Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Edible Cookie Dough

[New for 2019] I know this may shock you but we're going to talk about cookie dough again. Some of you saw this over the summer but I just finally saw it last week. Actually, to be super specific, I saw this Tuesday night at Walmart and by Saturday afternoon their stock was wiped out. Apparently I wasn't the only one excited to finally find it.

Nestle Toll house Chocolate Chip Edible Cookie Dough

Enjoy by the spoonful? I sure hope to!

Go ahead and dig in? Don't mind if I do.

Let's go with the half scooped / half not scooped shot.
It may not look like it at first, but the tiny chocolate chips do not quit.

To put it simply, this is the cookie dough that I've been craving for the last six months. It has come closest to those old care free days where we would eat raw cookie dough without a care in the world. It's not perfect, but it's close enough for now!

Specifics: It's a little stickier than I expected, but that's ok. Cookie dough needs a bit of gooeyness to it. Maybe this is a smidge too much but I prefer this over the flatness of the other two I have tried this year.

The other big point is the tiny chocolate chips, you can't avoid them. They work better than large chocolate chips, but there are moments when I want a bit more cookie dough flavor and a little less chocolate. Is this a big deal? Ahhhh, no.

On Second Scoop: NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM wait, it's all gone?? But I was only eating it in small increments... twice a day... for six days. Need to find more!

There is a peanut butter chocolate chip monster version too
(don't ask me why they don't call it "monster cookie")

Verdict?  GOOD!
Buy Again?  Yes!!

Was this found in the refrigerated or freezer section of your grocer? I just finished off the Ben and Jerry's snacking cookie dough, and it was in the freezer. I have another brand I found at Wal-mart in the section with the refrigerated doughs. I liked it a lot. I can't wait to find this one.

YUM! I was thinking of making truffles out of these too. Roll into balls, chill, and then dip into melted chocolate.

It good to enjoy small bits. Not like DO cookie dough. $5 for one scoop of cookie dough and I couldn't finish the scoop. It was a small scoop.I saw people walking out with three scoops in a cone! They didn't finish it at all and chucked in the trash. Seemed it was just for social media.

@Anne: refrigerated section!

@Unknown: Yeah, I'm not a huge glob of cookie dough kind of person, I much prefer to spread out my enjoyment.

Walmart has this new thing for grocery-Innovations items. So far dair, produce and grocery have endcaps dedicated to new items they aren't sure about it. This is one of those items. We can't keep it on shelves. I know we've manually reordered it numerous times already. Its good. Better than the other brand we carry.

@Megan: Yeah? Cool. I just bought my second container a half hour ago :)

This is more expensive than the pre-made cookie-making cookie dough that is right next to it in the grocery store. I cannot imagine this product being better than freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

@Anon: is it really fair to compare the two? One serving of fresh baked cookies compared to days of cookie dough snacking.

Im hardcore. I just eat the cookie dough. When is the last time you got sick from cookie dough. Or you friend got sick from cookie dough or heard anyone get sick from cookie dough. You got a better chance of getting sick at a restaurant then you do of eating cookie dough. Im not down with this "edible" cookie dough trend. Its just a marketing ploy to me. :)

Still not as good as the Ben and Jerry chunks, but it is far better than most of the other edible cookie doughs on the market.
