[New for 2023] So, I have a problem. Despite not buying/covering a ton of new products this year, I still have a freezer full of ice cream. Part of it is changing tastes, part of it is missing the days of old, and the final part is that a lot less ice cream is being eaten in our house. It happens. I kind of wish I could purge and start over, but no way I would waste all that ice cream. What I'm trying to say is that I apology for the weird ebb and flow of the blog this year. Maybe 2024 will flow be better. Maybe I'll even get the freezer cleaned out by 2024. Either way, let's unwrap what I picked up the other day.

[New for Fall 2023] Ok, the new Van Leeuwen lineup is supposed to be out today which means that I actually saw this particular flavor discounted to $3.48 this morning. I bought my pint weeks ago, but maybe I should have bought another pint? Let's find out.

[2024 Disclaimer] We tried this one again in 2024 and I don't know if it changed or I did, but it's really been hitting the spot this year. We're on our second or third container and I still have two more stocked away in the chest freezer. News: Ben & Jerry's Pecan Pie Ice Cream

[New for Fall 2023] I wander through the freezer aisle every time I go to a grocery store, but the reality is that I rarely find anything new. Well, today was a happy exception to that.

Ben & Jerry's Pecan Pie Ice Cream

It's limited batch and this was at Walmart, but it's also been spied at Target. I can't imagine this isn't tasty, and it's definitely more my speed then their Bourbon Pecan Pie ice cream from 2015.

That said, this current version features buttery ice cream while the old Southern Pecan Pie version used a brown sugar ice cream. Mmmmmm. I'm sorry I missed that.

Anyway, I'm not sure if or when I will get to try this, so I'm relying on you to find it and report back with your thoughts. Happy ice cream hunting!
