Are you keeping your eyes open for new 2024 stuff? I found three things (in person) this past week, plus I found a few things online as well.

Jeni's Sweet Cream Biscuits & Peach Jam Ice Cream

[Not sure when this came out, but here's a video of Jeni making it in June 2014]
I don't think there is any huge demand for peach ice creams out there, but it is was summertime and I'm in the mood for something different, so let's enjoy this sunny day with a pint of....

Jeni's Strawberry Buttermilk Ice Cream

After being shocked by the saltiness of their peach flavor, I decided to cleanse my palette with a much more simple flavor. Let's try a free scoop of...

Jeni's Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon
  Pop-tarts Ice Cream

[New for June 2023] As you may have heard today (since it's popping up on both traditional and social media), Jeni's has teamed up with Pop-tarts to release a brand new flavor.

Jeni's Powdered Jelly Donut Ice Cream

[New for 2022] I really should review the new banana bread ice cream right now, but yet again, I hear the siren call of the donut saying "try me first"

Jeni's Everything Bagel Ice Cream

[New for 2021] A few weeks ago, Jeni's offered to send me their new Homemade Banana Bread flavor plus a few extra pints. I instantly said yes without even asking what else would be in the shipment (because Jeni's!). Technically I should have tried that banana flavor first, but I just couldn't resist trying this very limited edition flavor first. I am afraid, but also terribly intrigued...

Jeni's Brambleberry Crisp Ice Cream

Ok, so this is the other Jeni's flavor that I've been wanting to try for years now. Will it be as amazing as Gooey Butter Cake? Ahhh, probably not, but I'll settle for just really good!

Jeni's Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream

Well well well, it's been quite a day hasn't it? (if you are reading this years from now, you can just google the date). In reality, it's been quite the year with a lot of.... well, a lot of what makes 2020 shall we say. Now, to break out of the funk that is the 2020 ice cream season, I picked up a half dozen unique items from Wegman's last Sunday morning to keep me going. Two of those items are pints from Jeni's, a company that I've never tried. That's right! Nick did all of the other Jeni's reviews back when they had the clear packaging. I just wasn't willing to spend ten bucks a pint. Well the price has come down to $8 and I'm dying for something different. Time to try...

Nick at the Summer Fancy Food Show : Part 2

[By Nick] Are you all done reading part 1 of my Summer Fancy Food Show experience? Good, now it's time for part two. All these brands were on the bottom floor of the convention. This part of the show was based on states throughout the country with some foreign companies towards the back like our friends up north, Canada.

Jeni's Splendid The Buckeye State Ice Cream

[By Nick] For Jeni's enthusiasts, today marks a glorious day. After a listeria scare that forced them to shutdown to clean their facilities as well as destroy all of their ice cream that had been produced, they're back and running with their scoop shops opening back up today. Now I've had this review in my backlog for awhile (I got this pint free from my Whole Foods tour... almost a year ago) and ‎today couldn't be a better excuse to finally post my thoughts about this pint.

Jeni's Sweet Potato With Torched Marshmallows Ice Cream

[By Nick] If you recall in my last review, I said I wouldn't spend anymore of my money on a pint of Jeni's. Thankfully, I have friends who randomly show up to my apartment bearing frozen treats.

Jeni's Brambleberry Crisp Ice Cream

[By Nick] So here we are again with another pint of Jeni's I paid $6 for (after coupon) at The Fresh Market. To be honest, I was really irritated with my last experience that I was hesitant to pick up another pint. However, I've wanted to try their Brambleberry Crisp flavor for awhile now. Blackberries are one of my favorite fruits and it's not every day that you see a flavor utilizing them as Jeni's has. That and I don't think we've ever covered a flavor with black currants involved either. Here's hoping this pint will be worth the money I paid for it.

Jeni's Goat Cheese with Red Cherries Ice Cream

[By Nick] After my tour of The Fresh Market a while back, I was given a bunch of coupons for $5 off my next shopping trip there. Seeing as I refuse to buy pints over $10 with my own money and Jeni's won't send me any samples no matter how much I beg (have you ever seen me tweet them? I'm pretty pathetic) I can't think of a better use than to use them on their pints. $6 per pint is still high in my book but that's the cheapest I'm likely be able to get them for. So armed with those coupons, I went in and scoped out my Fresh Market's selection.

Jeni's Brown Butter Almond Brittle Ice Cream

[By Nick] Time to dig into the second jenis pint I received while on my tour of the Healthy Living Market in Saratoga. Now if you thought choosing just one flavor was difficult, choosing a second was near impossible. It was a tossup between Salty Caramel (their best seller), Brambleberry Crisp (my tour guide's favorite) and Brown Butter Almond Brittle. With my love for buttery bases, I decided to grab the latter flavor.

Jeni’s describes this one as “Rich browned butter ice cream and salty, crunchy almonds. Familiar and delicious.” I’ve had plenty of buttery bases but I don’t think I’ve ever had brown butter ice cream so I’m not too sure how familiar this one will be to me. Also, I’m a tad bit let down. I was expecting there to be almond brittle pieces based on the name, not just salted almonds. I guess I can’t complain though seeing as I got this $10 pint for free.

[By Nick] Not too long ago, I was invited to take a tour of a new grocery store that recently opened in Wilton. Being that I’m a sucker for all things new, I accepted the offer.

Now this isn’t your average grocery store, this is Healthy Living Market and CafĂ© and just the second store of its kind with the original being in Vermont. They’re an organic/all natural store that really takes pride in what they do and what they offer. From their in-house butcher shop, where no part of the animal goes to waste, to their excellent bakery, in which I got a few tasty samples to take home with me, everything they do is with the utmost care and precision.
