[New for very late 2025] I ran in to Shaws for an excuse to stretch my legs for a moment. Sure, I hoped for something new in the freezer aisle, but I wasn't really expecting to find anything, but then I saw it....
Tillamook Strawberries & Cream Ice Cream

Sure, it sounds like a milder version of their Oregon Strawberry ice cream, but maybe this one will surprise me.
Also, Tillamook does releasing their new limited edition stuff at the very end of the year, so I suspect we'll see this one hang around for awhile. It definitely has Valentine's day vibes.
Looks like this is going to be more of a 50/50 split rather than a swirl thing.
The swirls kick in nice and early and then continue on.
I steal a bit of sweet cream ice cream as this one goes back in the freezer and it definitely reminds me of the sweetness that I get off of their sugar cookie ice cream.
Oh nice, that swirl has lots of flavor. Guess my fears of a softened strawberry flavor were unnecessary.
Trying them together now.... hmmm..... trying again... ok, i'm digging what they are doing here.
I've definitely come a long way in terms of trusting Tillamook to do the right thing, and yeah, I like this one. It's not just a strawberry flavor, I'm definitely getting strawberries and cream vibes.
Remember that I'm someone who really enjoys strawberry ice cream, but yeah, this one is a winner for me. I totally expect to be buying several of these over the coming months.
On Second Scoop: I think I enjoyed this one more today (and then even more the day after that). I dig how the flavor varies depending on what's on my spoon. I think I have a favorite new mainstream strawberry flavor.
Verdict? makes a solid strawberry offering even better
