This one had been in the freezer forever, but I did finally eat it, and then I waited a few more months to post the review. Sorry about that, but I can't imagine you were holding your breath for this review anyway hehehe.

Haagen-Dazs Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream

It's definitely green.

Still green...
I take my first few bites and I can't believe how mild this flavor is. It's just a quality ice cream with very mild tea flavor. Don't let the green fool you. This isn't some super earthy flavor. It's just a gentle tea flavor and it goes surprisingly well with Haagen-Dazs's base ice cream.
I would hazard a guess that this flavor isn't for everyone. It's both mild and pretty different from everything else. I wouldn't even know what to pair it with.
On Second Scoop: I can't say that I ever craved this one, but it is very easy to snack on once you pop open the pint. I don't love it, but I'm glad I tried it. Who knows, I may even buy it again.
Verdict? mild
Buy Again? if it's on sale, the mood might strike!

I have not had this one, but I had the Van Leeuwen tea ice creams and was equally shocked at how mild they were compared to other flavors. I would think it would go nicely with a slice of coconut cake or even strawberry cake as a slightly more flavorable alternative to vanilla for fruity flavored cakes.
