Oh, for some weird reason, all of the outside wrappers on these treats smell like nuts. I checked the ingredients before I started this review and it does mention the possibility of trace pecans.
Didn't have a penny (Poland Springs lid)
Also, the candies are (poorly) double wrapped.
Our Strawberry Blonde is the worst of the bunch. The strawberry flavor is brought to us by our arch nemesis "Artificial Flavors". Yuck Yuck Yuck. I spit this one out is was so bad. Man I hate that faux, nasty, slimy, potent strawberry flavor. I wouldn't wish these on an enemy.
Birthday Cake Remix is tolerable at best. If you try really, really, REALLY hard, you can probably convince yourself you taste birthday cake. The filling on these candies is very gushy, so you would think it would lend well to a cake flavor, but it fails. I'm kind of getting that artificial slime flavor again.
Chocolate Devotion is by far the least painful of the three. It's got a dark chocolate vibe to it and had I tried this one first, I would have assumed the others would be half decent. I don't really know what to say other than that it's ok, but I think I'd rather have a pack of Rolos and call it a day.
Oh man, I sure hope you didn't buy these for someone as a present. If you did, I suggest sending them an apology card stating that you will try harder next year. Actually, you better send them a bag of tasty Lindt chocolates with your apology.
Verdict? Turin, you owe me $3.49
Buy Again? NOOOOOOOOOOO
