This is one of those products that seems like it should be an easy win, but for whatever reason, gets lost in the freezer... and when I say lost, I mean LOST. Like bought in early 2025 and then finally tossed months ago in 2026 lost. Why do I do that? Well, I know why, it's because the basement freezer is a mess. Maybe 2027 will be better..... until then, let me show you what once was:

Whole Foods Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Sandwiches
cookies & cream ice cream sandwiched between two double-chocolate cookies

FYI this picture is from April, not from when I had my first sandwich
I bring the softness up because its not providing that textural resistance that I enjoy from a proper cookie sandwich. I would hazard a guess that some of you would prefer this, but I'm not digging it. For me though, it's totally dominating the experience
We have another problem too. The cookies and cream flavor is no match for the cookies' flavor.
Sorry, I just cant get in too the chewy cookies.... though let me ask you this. Do you like soft pillowy brownies or thick dense brownies? I'm the kind of person who likes the edge pieces of a dense brownie. If you prefer the softer stuff, I bet these ice cream sandwiches would be more up your alley.
I take away the cookies from the last big bite of ice cream, and I still don't get a lot of flavor from the ice cream. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just that it doesn't say a whole lot. I want my C&C flavors to blast out of the Oreo wafer flavor, but that's not happening here.
Ok, I think these are the kind of sandwiches you have to be in the mood for. We'll see how the second sandwich goes.
On Second Scoop: These got lost (neglected) in the freezer. I finally tossed these out in April. And I'm finally posting about it now. Sorry. Feel free to chime in if you've had these.
Verdict? cookies are too soft
Buy Again? will try Milk & Cookies first
