Muddy Bites Salted Caramel Shortbread Cookie Cones

Are there really 12 cones hiding in there? (answer: yes)

I take my first bite and I am delightful surprised at how much flavor there is! I feel like these types of snacks tend to be low on flavor but this one has plenty of shortbread cookie punch! Wow, these are fun.

The fact that these came from Germany and not the US might explain why they are pretty strongly flavored. To be honest, I feel like some might find it just a smidge too strong.

Overall the idea works well. The cookie crunch is superb. Crisp without being overly dense. Maybe just a smidge more caramel filling would be cool, but the two come together well.

So yeah, I liked these way more than I thought I would. I hoped I would enjoy them, but I had my reservations because not every muddy bite is big win. 

I was having trouble deciding exactly how many to eat. 12 was an option, but than no second serving. 6 then? tempting. 3? Not enough. I decided on 4 so that I get 3 servings of these tasty little cones.

On Second Scoop: Hmmmmm, I'm leaning towards this not clicking with everyone. It's just a bit too potent, but then it's more than that. There's a little something weird with how the flavors are coming across. Maybe weird is the wrong word. Ahhhh, how do I clarify the potency here... It's not a sweet overload, but there is some kind of overload trying to happen... actually, one dumb thought as I wrap this up. I wonder if these would be a little better if it was 70 in the house instead of 80. Just a thought.

Verdict?  a bit much?
