DQ Oreo Snowdrift Blizzard

[New for Jan 2026] Maybe it was the blue coloring, or my general love of cookies & cream, but I had high hopes for this blizzard. Too high honestly.

Dairy Queen Oreo Oreo Snowdrift Blizzard
sky blue cake batter and Oreo in vanilla soft serve

So very blue....   So I take a small bite and I am thrown off by how strong the flavoring is.

My wife is saying her blizzard isnt very tasty, so I offer some of the blue disaster from the top of my blizzard without thinking through the fact that maybe my small blizzard just wasnt blended that well. I wound up giving her a bit too much of the flavoring from mine, but I still stand by what I'm about to say.

...and I say that this blizzard was a let down. It's basically a birthday cake oreo blizzard, but you cant really taste the oreos even after I dispatched with a bunch of the overly sweet batter flavoring. Some chocolate chips might help break things up, but this one just wasnt jiving with me.

I got a small and I almost didnt finish it because I was kind of bored (though I did wind up finishing it in the end, albeit slowly). I was so bored that I almost forgot to post about this blizzard.

So yeah, too much flavoring, poorly blended, not enough Oreos, and lacking something to tie it all together. Zero urge to try this one again, though I will admit that I think my love of blizzards is waning (though they could probably win me back with a killer blizzard).

As with all DQ reviews, your mileage may vary. Let us know if you had better luck with it.

Verdict?  boring
Buy Again?  nope
