[New for April 2025] I know I've gotten terrible with keeping up with fast food releases, but the opportunity arose to check out the new frosty swirl lineup, so I grabbed...

Wendy's Caramel Vanilla Frosty Swirl
vanilla frosty swirled with caramel
The good news is that this is the first frosty that I've enjoyed in quite a long time. Frostys used to be a nice treat when I was a kid, but their quality has definitely fallen off over the years, especially recently.
We did have the fun frosty shakes and frosty sundaes back in the early days of this blog, but those fun experiments disappeared a long time ago.
There are three swirls options that can be mixed with either a vanilla or chocolate frosty: brownie batter, strawberry, and caramel.
Now I went caramel, because I like being old fashion sometimes, but when I was looking at the online menu, I noticed it said you could order extra caramel. That seemed like an odd option to me, but after having tried it, I get why it's an option.
See, while I did enjoy the treat, the caramel flavoring wasn't exactly strong. I suspect that Wendy's realizes this and that's why they offer extra caramel. The downside? It adds 50 cents to a treat that costs between 3 and 4 dollars (small - medium - large).
So, if you happen to be driving by a Wendy's, why not give one of these a try and then report back on how it was. I know I'll be getting another one.
Note: These should be available everywhere, and in a few weeks, we should start seeing the Frosty Fusion lineup as well.
Verdict? tasty enough!
Buy Again? yes, but with more caramel
Buy Again? yes, but with more caramel
OK so I always get junior frostys for free since I have the Dave's keychain. On rare occasion, I will buy one of the new treats. Frankly, I will stick with my freebie. Nothing about these new twists was worth paying extra for in my opinion. But I will tell you what my local Wendy's does that is great. They will swirl whatever two flavors are going, like chocolate and vanilla, in my free junior frosty. Now that is something to rave about!
