Friendly's Unicorn Sparkle Ice Cream Bars

[New for 2023] I know crunch coated ice cream bars don't have the same pizazz that they did decades ago (like everything else, they are made more cheaply now), but that doesn't mean that they still don't catch my attention. Case in point, the very fun looking....

Friendly's Unicorn Sparkle Ice Cream Bars

That's a lot of air in that "ice cream"

Seriously, does that even look like ice cream?

I sound frustrated, but overall, this isn't a bad treat. It's fun to look at and it does technically taste like cotton candy, though unfortunately that flavor isn't super strong. This thing would have been killer if it had been made in the 90s (aka with better ice cream and more flavor).

The coolest thing about this treat is that the coating actually has some texture to it. It's not just a bunch of soft crumbs falling all over the place. The texture helps offset the lightness of the "ice cream" inside... seriously, how is this still ice cream?

There is also a super hero version, though it's just "blue and white vanilla ice cream coated in cookie crunch". That doesn't sound like superman ice cream to me (see the wikipedia page here). If someone tries this, let us know if it's as boring as it sounds.

That's all I got right now. It's a fun little treat. One is enough, but it's ok if you have a second.
