I dig in and I am not impressed. There is something off about the flavor profile here. I think it's the sea salt caramel. I have fond memories of the double caramel bars but at set my expectations too high when I thought they might recreate that magic in pint form.
I continued on to eat about a 30% of the tub but I was tempted to stop. I really don't like what's going on with the flavor. I checked the ingredients to see if something odd got in the list like coconut oil... ok, technically there is a little coconut oil here but I don't know if it can take all the blame.
Hopefully the second scooping will go better, but at the moment, my advice is to try one of the other new double tubs first.
On Second Scoop: Yeah, the base ice cream kind of ruins this one pretty good for me. It's got this weird (wheat-y?) flavoring and I don't even want to finish this one right now. Heck, I barely wanted to second scoop it. What a shame.
Verdict? should have been better
Buy Again? nope, will save money for other double tubs

I have also noticed an off-taste in some of the sea salt caramel ice creams I have eaten lately. Wal-mart sells a baseline Great Value flavor that uses sea salt caramel and chocolate. It just seems off to me. I don't know how else to describe it. I am left with a slightly bitter aftertaste that is not so pleasant.
That's a bummer, was looking forward to trying this one... How salty was the ice cream itself?
