Twix Cookies & Creme Ice Cream Bars

Update: These will be returning for 2024!

[New for 2020]
Man oh man, am I excited for today's review. I have been drooling over everyone's instagram pictures of these for awhile now... but, like I love to do, i will add a disclaimer. I have had the non ice cream version of these and they were kind of disappointing. I waited so long for them to come back and they just couldn't live up to all of my fond memories of them. Will the frozen version make up for that?

Twix Cookies & Creme Ice Cream Bars
vanilla ice cream mixed with chocolate cookie pieces,
topped with crunchy chocolate cookies
(where is mention of the caramel sauce?)

This is how you take branding seriously.

Looks standard enough.

Is it good? Better yet, is it delightful? Why yes, yes it is. I inhaled the left Twix in about 60 seconds. It's similar to their other bars, and the other bars are good, and so is this. I kind of wish that I had a regular Twix ice cream bar to compare this one too.

Overall this bar works really well. The giant balls of cookie (seen above) are technically a little dangerous because of their size and hardness, but that won't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this treat. Also, caramel might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of cookies & creme, but it works here. You need some kind of sauce to tie it together.

I ate the right Twix about an hour later. It was just as tasty. Just an easy, tasty, quick snack. These are definitely better than the regular candy version. They remind me of how much I love Snickers ice cream bars, and that's a good thing right there.

On Second Scoop: Tomorrow for sure! (apparently I just devoured these and never bothered to follow up, whoops!)

Verdict?  tasty!
Buy Again?  yup!

    1. They're just not, especially when compared to the Milka/Oreo version that seem to be disappearing now. Pretty sure Twix also made a better C&C version years ago.

But, these ice cream bars will be noshed.

  2. HAHAHAHA! hey, I never said you couldn't enjoy them :)

But seriously, you know I dont have an issue with you likely them. My problem is that I waited 25+ years for their return and there was no way for them to compare. I have serious issues with the cheapness of modern candy. I won't say no to the candy jar at work, but I'm a firm believer that candy quality has really dropped since my childhood.

At some point I should give the C&C twix another try.

  5. re: dunkaroos, me neither, my mom gave me sliced apple in my lunch bag, i only saw what the other kids had, and i'm pretty sure the apple tasted better than the semi-plastics they dined on.
