Whoa, shrinkage! Probably from the dry ice trip. The funny thing is, I have this tempering on my desk as I start the review and the smell of coffee has been slowly wafting in my direction for the last few minutes.

Ok, yeah, I'm technically a little more afraid now since two of the components should be packing a coffee punch... but there must be something wrong with me because I think I like it! How did that happen? The fun layer of chocolate chips buried in the chocolate sauce is definitely helping. Granted, I have cheated and scraped about a quarter inch of cold brew gelato off the top, but I am actually enjoying myself and wanting to scoop more.

I was worried that the chocolate coffee sauce would be bitter and not enjoyable, but it's not nearly as strong as I feared. I am in total shock to be enjoying this one. Oh these chocolate chips are fun and the cookies at the bottom ain't too shabby either. I don't get any super distinct flavor from the cookie pieces, but they add a nice counterpoint texture to the chips.

Wow, nice job Talenti! Not sure how you worked this voodoo, but you got a coffee hater to down half of a coffee inspired flavored. Kudos to you for that!

On Second Scoop: Yup, enjoyed the second half too! This might be my most positive coffee experience in over 12 years of blogging. I'm still in shock.
