Price Chopper Double Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream

Time for a super quick review of something that's been hanging out in the freezer for the last couple of weeks. I tend to buy the same things when my daughter asks for something fruity or chocolatey but on occasion I will make a random purchase like the one below. "Central Market Classics" is no longer the name of the inhouse brand for Price Chopper. A lot of the current stuff is frozen dairy dessert, but there are some actual ice creams mixed in like...

Price Chopper Double Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream
chocolate ice cream with brownie pieces & fudge swirl

I mentioned this one sitting in the freezer because I had to ask my daughter why it hadn't disappeared like most ice creams do. At first she just said it was meh, but then she got more specific and said it was too chocolatey. Wait, my daughter said too chocolatey?

I've dug in 3 or 4 times now and it's actually pretty enjoyable for what it is, and what it is is a budget ice cream jam packed with brownie bits and chocolate flavor. I see why she said the chocolate was a bit much so I just avoid this by not having a huge serving of it. I don't mean that as an insult, but more a compliment that a small cup is more than enough to get you a chocolate fix.

To clarify, the brownie bits are surprisingly plentiful and can be found in most bites. The fudge swirl is also omnipresent. While it may not add a thick gooey texture, it does add a cocoa like pop to basically every bite. So yeah, this one is very chocolatey and would pass for a Chocolate Therapy replacement if you are on a tight budget.

Verdict?  decent chocolate fix
Buy Again?  sure
