Taco Bell Mtn Dew Kickstart Black Cherry Freeze

[New for 2014] While my Nosh Show cohorts are busy choking down the new breakfast menu at Taco Bell, I decided to take the frozen route and chug their latest freeze flavor with my lunch the other day.... and boy did it give me a laugh.

Taco Bell Mtn Dew Kickstart Black Cherry Freeze
(looks kind of gritty, doesn't it?)

I took one sip and realized this was going to be way more potent than it's canned counterpart. See, I had tried the canned version before episode 21 of the Nosh Show and thought it a decent beverage, but this was a real kick in the pants. More flavor, more bite, more caffeine... and in a moment when I needed to blow off a bit of steam, it's way more fun.

My buddy has spent decades growing immune to my childish ways, so he continued our conversation as I built my frozen masterpiece. At some point in your life, you've tried doing this with a slurpee or an icee, but never has it been done with such success. Yes, in my caffeine fueled giggle fit, I managed to grow the spire above the rim of the cup before it came crashing down. Ahhhh, fun times.

Play with your food people, it's good for you.

Cost? $2.99
Fun Factor? High

  1. haha! Impressive sculpture, Mr. Dubba.

Next time my family feels like Taco Bell I'll have to order one of these... Because you've made me curious (and because it DOES look fun to play with!) heheh

  2. If you like a chemical taste then Mcdonalds black cherry will be ok. But personally it sucks. I specifically asked them if this had caffeine (I can not have it after 2 or I will not sleep) the answer no it does not have caffeine. So much for disclosure..

  3. @Anon: are you talking about McDonald's or Taco Bell, you lost me along the way, but yes, the point of KICKSTART is to give you a caffeine boost to kickstart your morning.
