Fruit Dips Wild Blueberry Bars

[2016: some stores just carry the mixed 8 packs now]

Sometimes the sign of a special treat is not in how fast you eat a box, but how long you savor a box. See, I realized that the strawberry fruit dips are a great mid-mowing snack (what? it takes me like 2 hours to mow). I've finally burned through my two strawberry boxes from my first review and was debating which flavor deserved to go next.

Fruit Dips Wild Blueberry Bars
premium frozen fruit bars dipped in Greek yogurt

That's right, I wasn't in the mood for banana or coconut, and they didn't have the raspberry flavor, so I went with the blueberry one. Disclaimer: I burnt out on blueberry a long time ago.

I don't know what it is, but this one seems more slushy than the other flavor. I thought I remembered the others being a bit more icy when chewed, but this one seems to turn to slush when I dig in. I don't think that's an insult. It's just weird that the experience feels very different.

I do like the blueberry bits everywhere, they are a nice reminder of the healthy nature of this treat. The shell goes pretty well with the blueberries, but not as well as the strawberry did. I just think they played off each other differently (not that I don't prefer their chocolate shell to their Greek yogurt shell, but even the strawberry with the Greek yogurt shell was better).

I just don't think it's clicked yet like the strawberry did, but maybe it will take a few tries like how I got use to the strawberry ones. Hopefully in the future they will mix and match the shells and cores a bit more for us.

On Second Scoop: Another day, another mow, another bar consumed. Nothing particularly wrong with these, I just like the way the strawberry pops better. It's a little more simple and straight forward in flavor and texture, but if blueberry is your thing, these will probably work better for you. Simple as that. Give one of the flavors a try if you are still hesitant.

Verdict?  not bad
Buy Again?  I'd rather buy the strawberry
