Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream
Strawberry Minis

I went to bed a happy camper last night because I had me a tiny, yet satisfying, serving of Häagen-Dazs.Yyou know, the ones in the little half-cup servings. I've been feeling guilty about not having H-D on the blog recently, so I picked up four of their five flavor offerings while I was at the store (sorry coffee, I'm just not interested). Note: I had forgotten I tried a vanilla snack size before.

Mini Haagen-Dazs Strawberry Ice Cream

The serving may look tiny, but remember this is premium ice cream that clocks in at 104g of fat for a regular serving. I took my first bite and I was totally won over. By far, this is the creamiest strawberry ice cream I have ever had. I was instantly whisked away to a land of tastiness sprinkled with wonderful strawberry bits and bites. The bits are everywhere and the bites are scattered nicely when you want a bigger chunk. I had to slow myself down a bit since I really wanted to stop and savor every bite.

This really is arguably the most well made strawberry ice cream I've ever had. Others are good, but this is super premium good. I don't want this to sound like a complaint, but I kind of wish I had something to balance it out as I went. It was just so rich, that the creaminess was was building up and becoming almost overpowering. I wished there was a sugar cone or even a pretzel to munch between bites so I would appreciate what I was eating even more and not become overwhelmed.

I may be repeating myself as I type here, but the point is that this is just fantastic ice cream. Strawberry is fairly hard to mess up, but this is nice, really nice. Even the mini cup, at $1.18, adds to the overall charm of the product. It's so cool to grab this little guy out of the freezer and know you can just eat the whole thing. You don't need to scoop a bowl, or worry about it melting before you stick it back in the freezer. Just grab and go. I can't wait to try one of the other minis.

Oh, one more note, only use the awful built in spoons if you have to.
