It used to be a perfect ice cream-simple vanilla with specs of vanilla bean and chunks of real cherries. When it melted it was natural. What I scooped out of this carton was some sort of gooey garbage. It was nothing like it used to be. I just read the carton and saw the fine print-it's not even called ice cream anymore. ARE YOU KIDDING ME BREYER'S??? Luckily there is no chocolate in it so I can give it to my dog. It used to be my absolute favorite. I commented on their Facebook page and they deleted it. I commented also on their website. Companies just don't get it. People will pay more for quality. I bought a carton last week and couldn't even finish the first bowl because it tasted funny. I looked at the ingredients and didn't know what they all were. Then I didn't want to eat it for sure. Not to mention the 1.5 quart containers. When I was a little girl (35 now) breyers came in gallon containers. That is less than half of the original size!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-42083420914780978882012-07-30T22:08:00.225-04:002012-07-30T22:08:00.225-04:00I just worked my way through a cup of Breyers Cher...I just worked my way through a cup of Breyers Cherry Vanilla, which was one of my all-time favorites, and something wasn't right. Too creamy and artificial tasting. I kept eating, hoping it was just me. Nope. Look at the crap they're putting in it now! Gums? Corn Syrup? Carrageenan? Tonight when I was throwing the carton away after eating the last of the stuff, I realized it was no longer ice cream, but a frozen dessert. I am proud of myself for realizing it had changed, but sorry that they have joined the ranks of cost cutting, mass produced bland products. My last bowl of Breyers was eaten tonight. Sorry, I grew up with you, but you have changed, and I loved the old you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-36362373137073817452012-03-22T01:12:48.357-04:002012-03-22T01:12:48.357-04:00I won't be anonymous, my favorite dessert, Bre...I won't be anonymous, my favorite dessert, Breyers all natural Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream is now dead and gone. I posted on Beach Street News my opinion of the carton of "Vanilla Flavored with Cherry Pieces Frozen Dairy Dessert" experience.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01840061280914361944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-12365490294016674142012-03-10T00:00:24.305-05:002012-03-10T00:00:24.305-05:00My recent purchase of Cherry Vanilla tasted terrib...My recent purchase of Cherry Vanilla tasted terrible. Gummy and horrible. I looked at the package, and it is no longer ice cream. It is "frozen dairy dessert"!
It tastes disgusting, and they better go back to the original or I and many others will be gone as customers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-22935619479968234952011-08-22T16:21:56.069-04:002011-08-22T16:21:56.069-04:00If any of you have grown up eating Breyer's Ch...If any of you have grown up eating Breyer's Cherry Vanilla you know that Bryers has been extremely inconsistent with this once glorious product. For one, the cherries used to be more "natural", meaning they weren't candied like they are now. The tub used to be packed with luscious half cherries not the tiny flecks of cherry you get now (which are few anyway). I know the economy is bad, but I can't stand when companies try to hoodwink their customers by using cheaper ingredients, less of the more expensive ingredient or misleading packaging sizes to boost their sales. Case and point, remember how big the Cadbury easter eggs used to be?

Breyer's please change back this horrible impostor that was once was my favorite ice cream! You're taking away the nostalgic qualities of your products!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
