The smoothness and tiny bits of frozen rind were a surprise. It's refreshing with a strong but not overwhelming flavor. Very sophisticated. You could put this on cakes, in between cookies, etc but its best eaten right out of the box. Now i wanna try coffee and strawberry. I always avoided HD because unlike Ben and Jerry, they didnt say no to milk with growth hormones, but their 5 collection is too good. It tastes local, small-batch. I wish they made green tea or ginger with green tea like Reed's. --------- PavanaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-56827048121807397082010-04-08T21:17:42.037-04:002010-04-08T21:17:42.037-04:00I don't eat ice cream much and when I do, I...I don't eat ice cream much and when I do, I'm very picky. I used to not eat ice at all until I discover Haagen Daz Five Mint. It's my favorite! I used to love their coffee flavor and I still do but the mint is just soooo refreshing. Even my 3 year old tells me that it's his favorite ice cream!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-89154608515897709852010-01-22T01:16:12.918-05:002010-01-22T01:16:12.918-05:00I found this blog searching for HD 5 "Brown S...I found this blog searching for HD 5 "Brown Sugar" comments after dipping into a carton for the first time. It must be the first time I've stopped eating ice cream after the equivalent of two teaspoons' worth. My first thought was "Ew, it's coating my tongue -- in an unpleasant way." Then I thought "chalky", so feel validated to see that exact word used by others here. As to "Eden," no, the OP did not get a bad batch -- unless there are lots of bad batches out there. It's not chalky or dry at all! I LOVE my ice cream, and consider myself to have pretty good ice cream taste. Best ice cream ever and I love that it doesn't have the syrup ingredients like a lot of store ice cream does. Didn't like the brown sugar either - its just too sweet, I cant eat more than two bites at a time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-384329692727378622.post-26193583465854187702009-05-17T20:39:00.000-04:002009-05-17T20:39:00.000-04:00You are started out unfortunately with the two wor...You are started out unfortunately with the two worst flavors.
