The Road less Traveled
My wife and I actually managed to get out to see the new Star Trek film, and on the way back to get our daughter we made an ice cream pit stop at Friendly's to tide us over until dinner. I knew I was in the mood for their excellent black raspberry, but as I looked over the flavor list I noticed something: NO ROCKY ROAD!!! That was my very favorite flavor as a kid, what happened?!?!
That makes two
There are now two flavor recipes stuck in my head and still we haven't made any ice cream. Granted it's been crazy these last few months, but still, I need to get churnin'!
Gobble Gobble
It's been a long time but I finally bought a pair of Turkey Hill containers at the store so look for those reviews this week. Also, the turkey hill blog mentioned that the price of their containers would be coming down, and it has: Shaw's now has them for $3.49 a piece (on sale this week for $2.99).

Sounds like you and our very own Ernie would get along well. He's a Rocky Road fan too and when we're making here at the Dairy, he seems to taste test a lot more of it than he does other flavors.
Also good to hear you're seeing the price reduction at your local store!
