Weekend Wrapup

It was a decent weekend filled with some interesting selections from the Ice Cream of the month club, but I didn't get to do everything I wanted too.

Boy that's tiny
Wow, I know I haven't had the chance to pick up any Turkey Hill ice cream recently, but it looks like the transition to 1.5 Quart containers is finally complete. It was a little disturbing actually ...understandable ...but still disturbing to actually stare at it for a minute.

Staying Local
I had hoped to run out to one of the local greenhouses that has made the brilliant move to now also be an ice cream shoppe. They even set up a giant playset for the kids to play on. I doubt they make their own stuff, but I'm intrigued none the less.

D is for Dairy
My yearly maintenance says I'm good for another year of blogging...if I add some Vitamin D to my diet. Apparently I've replaced a little too much of my daily milk intake with ice cream. I may have to switch back to Turkey Hill Cold Churned with added Vitamin D.

It's been way too long
It's been over 3 months since we made ice cream. The worst part is that I've had a flavor stuck in my head since...well, since I realized all the cream went bad. I have all the ingredients now at least. Who knows, maybe we'll make ice cream for dessert this week.

I need a new scoop
Wow, my daughter knows how to pick 'em. She tried to convince me to pick this ice cream scoop in the store, mainly because it was pink, but I hesitated and decided to keep my ten bucks. Well, wouldn't you know it, I just checked it out on Amazon and the thing has great reviews!
