First, I found it very sad that even though the very tasty blizzard of the month is a mere 11 miles away, I'm not sure I could make it there during lunch even if I take the full hour lunch break. Guess that's what I get for being on the wrong side of the city. I wound up turning around about half way there knowing I would never make it. The journey was a good reminder of....how my car has almost 130,000 miles on it...oh yeah, one squeaky bump after another. Any car companies want to sponsor the scoop? I could use a new scoop-mobile. I also passed by the only 7-eleven in the area so I decided to stop. 3 of 8 Slurpee flavors were out of order....thankfully crystal light flavor was still working....seriously? crystal light? as a Slurpee? why even bother? Banana flavor was also working...that's just fantastic. I went with coke and in retrospect, I'm thinking they should have hung an out of order sign on it as well (and why does my Slurpee cup smell like dirty gym socks??)
I had some personal stuff to take of Friday night, but I did break into the treat box before I left. Saturday was a great day for treats. There's nothing like a little heat stroke to make your ice cream taste all the more refreshing. I went with a (reheated) brownie covered with a good size layer of cookie dough. I finished it with a layer of whip cream and some heath toffee chunks on top for color and crunch. Oh it was tasty.
Yesterday was the Waffle Cone of course, and I still have one more Smooth & Dreamy container to crack open and try. Oh geez, all these thoughts of ice cream have made me totally space on the things I wanted to rant about....that, or it's the sound of the giant air conditioner drowning out all the voices in my head, including the important ones. I wish there was a compromise between overheating and going deaf...

I just discovered your blog and I love it! You must find some way to try the Blizzard of the Month, if only so I can know what it's like. It looks pretty classy.
